Rate my sign?

I made this signature today using gimp, took half an hour or so. I'm not that good in GFX


If you have any tips/ideas to how I could improve it, please tell me

Try using different fonts and styles..

 

Ok, I'm still in the beginner stage, but I'll do it on later signatures I make.

 

Its nice but there's to much open space. And making the text take that up isn't really a smart idea unless you want the text to be the focal. Re-size the render, and make it a little bigger and closer to the middle so theres no much empty space. Try getting a new font too.

Looks great, work on the lightning of the character (Use Dodge and Burn tool a bit).

Same background? Use another styles; redo it from a scratch.

 

No real lighting depth or flow.
Read up some tuts.

 

For gimp i think thats preety good Try using photoshop cs4 or something its really good =) more effects and ways tobe creative.
