What are your thoughts on it?
Has someone, you dad, you mom or YOU, or someone else you know got fired because of it?
Personally, my dad got fired out because of it.

    The economy is depressed.

I know, what is it for?
I can't understand, why this happened.
    Could someone explain me?

    The economy is depressed.

Watch the south park episode about it, it really explains it very good :)

Basically, everyone got a loan for something and then the banks went bankrupt and chaos happened :/

    The economy is depressed.

I hope this pic explains it a bit

This model applies to most/all economies. It's a very simple concept, you have a time of economic growth, that growth has to stop sometime and it will turn into an economic decline and eventually recovers. We are now at the point that the economic growth has stopped and is somewhat declining. Situations now aren't as serious yet, it can get much worse.

The economic recession is said to be caused by home owners not being able to pay their mortgages, so banks lost alot of money, but there is alot more playing than that.

    The economy is depressed.

    It's still a recession.

My parents had to suffer a huge pay-cut but they maintained their jobs. Around my neighborhood, I know a few who've lost their jobs.

I think this is all the 11 trillion debt catching up to us (America). We spend so much, all for good reason but when are we paying it off?

Perhaps President Obama in the next 4 years turn this around.

There is never a guarantee we'll ever come out of it.

    The economy is depressed.

    Hahaha.

You do realize that Obama has spent more in his first 100 days in office than the entire Bush / Clinton era did combined?

    The economy is depressed.

Fixing what? And how does spending hundreds of billions of dollars of money we don't have help the situation?

    The economy is depressed.

Blame the rich that want to get richer and who complains about buying a H2 Hummer instead of buying a H3. Faggots, I hope they know, if they keep it up, the money they have that took them so long to acquire will be worthless and they won't be able to do anything with it.

    The economy is depressed.

This quote fit's so very well in response to your post: "Don't hate the player; hate the game". It is a free market, you have the same equal opportunity to be just as rich as everyone else. Don't waddle around in your own self-pity for being a broke ass; do something about it. I drive a beat down 1994 Ford Escort, but I'm in college successfully pursuing a hopeful career in law.

Complaing about buying an H2 because you couldn't get a H3? You should be shot. He knows that every dollar he makes, he's taking away someone else's meals. Free market means nothing when it crashes. Bill Gates actually give back. I'd give back because money is just paper to me. I really don't care, but I know how much it means to the people who struggle to be alive.

    The economy is depressed.

There is no such thing as a free market in this world at the moment. Almost all economies are influenced by the governments, mostly by the means of protectionism. You really think cheap asian cars would flood the US market if they wanted to? Hell no, the government wants to stimulate it's own economy by protecting it with (I don't know the word, but it's a kind of import tax).

I am talking about free market in a national perspective; not a worldly perspective. It is this exact protectionism that safeguards the American free market. I could care less about other countries' free market. China = communism, btw.

    China = communism, I know
Biggest car producer in Asia (and the world) = Japan

And protectionism is a bad thing, because money has to roll.

I think the economy will be normal in like...2-5 years?
But, as said above, NOBODY can guarantee, that we EVER get out of this.

    The economy is depressed.

Under the best conditions, this economy will take 5-6 years to show any growth.

Wrong. Obama's agenda is mimicking the Bush agenda already; he's doubled the size of troops in Afganistan (promised he would end the war), promised to repeal the Patriot Act yet voted for its reauthorization, claimed to oppose the warrantless wiretapping bill Bush pushed in then supported it, and the list goes on and on. Presidents are nothing more than figurehead puppets to put on a nice face while the elite stay hidden.

    The economy is depressed.

I fucking hate it when people say this it makes me so mad, Bush didnt screw anything up, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Obama's supposidly going to "Fix" our economy by spending more money than both Bush and Clinton did? Wtf and we're still in a recession, and no neither of my parents have lost their jobs.
