I’m hoping to be able to pardon my ban and the proceeded account deletion I faced roughly over a year and a half ago if I recall correctly. During my time on Sythe, I continually egged Richard on in the official Sythe Discord server where I made a bunch of unnecessary comments directed towards him that were primarily motivated by our diametrically opposing worldviews. Some of these comments clearly crossed a line; saying stuff relating to his livelihood and making jokes about the police arresting him for certain views he expressed openly online. When I finally got banned for these comments (and probably an assumption that I had called the police), I ended up saying out of pure, emotional anger that I would report him to the police because I had felt that my ban at the time was completely unjustified. Looking back on it, it seems obvious I shouldn’t have acted so irrationally and immaturely in the Discord just to farm “LOL”s from other Sythe users, along with the comments I made out of anger after I had gotten banned.

Also, the evidence I was shown post-account deletion, another user, Fear, had actually called the police on Richard. It’s been nearly a year and a half since these events have happened, but from my own recollection Fear had actually called the police on Richard prior to my ban, which leads me to believe that maybe my ban was primarily motivated by an intuition that I was responsible for the experiences Richard had with the police showing up to his home. Reviewing the comments I had made in the past, it’s no wonder I would be the first suspect, but I believe the post hoc evidence that’s been available for months now should completely exonerate me of this accusation that people still perpetuate today.
Lastly, I actually want to personally apologize to you, Richard. I shouldn’t have engaged in discussions with you in the ways I did, or I probably shouldn’t have even engaged with you at all as we both seemed to have gotten vitriol towards each other anytime we spoke. In what’s quickly coming up to be nearly 2 years away from Sythe, I’ve matured extensively — where partaking in the toxic behaviors I once used to enjoy have become morally offputting, to say the least. Even if for whatever reason you decide that you don’t want me back in the community, this apology still stands as I realize my actions were negligent and wrong.
