Thank you! That will actually go a pretty good way right now, haha.

I wish I had the patience to grow plants, I always like seeing the end result. Too bad video games and sesame street killed my attention span years ago XD

What are you going to feed your venus fly traps when they grow big?

Actually, you do need to feed them.

I had Venus Fly Traps a little while ago, and basically what I did was put a citrus fruit(lemon, lime, or an orange) into the tank with my fly traps. I had cheesecloth over the top so nothing could get out except air, so fruit flies would breed in there and the fly traps would eat them.

As do i..when i get paid this friday im ordering some seeds ^.^

It actually has its own scent to it's trap part, so it can catch its own insects. If it starts to die off, ill feed it..but only if i have to. Nature will take care of it :p

I have ordered some new seeds today, and also updated my progress! Several of my plants have hands now!!

I don't think Billyy meant to use the citrus to give the Venus Flytrap a scent, but rather use it as a breeding ground for the fruit flies. They will reproduce and get eaten by the Venus Flytrap, creating a very useful cycle that relieves you of feeding duty. That's a good method, Billy.

Great job with the plants yet again, TJ. They're looking nice.

I wasn't saying use the citrus as a scent, i was saying that i shouldn't have to feed them since the plant contains a scent to attract prey.

Depends on what you want, really.

I have to order all mine from shops from various places..the U.S., England, etc.

Its worth it though, since no one around here has them.
