Slow Anti-Spammers?

You'd probably find that most of the things in the Report a Spammer have already been seen by mods and dealt with accordingly.

That makes it even more of a pain to deal with that section. Generally, if it's obvious enough as to be a problem, then a mod will see it WITHOUT having to go through the Report a Spammer forum.

Feedback isn't complaining. And who cares if its a pain in the ass? Its not my job, its the mods' job.
And is you read my post, I don't recall yelling "0mGee WTF are teh modsss I neeeed moar spamm3rzz b4nned!!!!!!!!!1111111one." I used polite words and suggested that some mods were'nt doing their jobs. And I didnt mean all "section mods" I just meant whoever manages the Rs2 and Rs Pix&Vids Sections.
Plus isn't the whole point of the feedback section to applaud/criticize? If you want to handle every post suggesting some form of improvement as a "complaint" then don't waste your time just to say "hahahahaaaa n00b u're st00p1dd dummmaZz whin3r.r"

 

I would like to clear some things up. The moderators of this site are NOT required to do anything. If the staff feels they are too inactive, they are demoted. This fact means these positions are not jobs. All the staff are volunteers. The moderators are giving back to this community as our time is being donated to moderate Sythe.

The anti-scam section can be very annoying at times as there is a huge amount of reports to deal with. The spam reports are pretty easy and you can do them pretty quickly as long as the pages load at a decent rate. If they do not, like they do not for many mods, then the spam reports take forever and are even more annoying. As Verts stated, not all of the mods that do the spam reports can handle all of the reports. If someone posts a virus for example, and the moderator that is doing the spam reports does not have permissions in the forum that the virus is posted in, the mod must find someone who does have permissions. This takes time and can be very annoying if there is no other mods online.

Finn also makes a good point that a few months ago there was over 50 pages of spam reports to do. We have gotten much better about them since that, except the problem is if no one has time to do them for a few days, the section fills up very quickly. This is not a big deal as long as they keep being done as spam is really not a harm to anyone. If someone posts a virus for example, a moderator is bound to notice before someone finds it in the report a spammer section most likely. Thus, these reports are not of great importance and if they get back up a little it is no big deal. This means no one has grounds to complain if they do.

We aren't obliged to do the job of cleaning out that section. It's voluntary. Granted, many of the sectionals with permissions in that section don't even bother, but I most certainly do. Now I'm global I will be sure to make a greater effort to keep that section as tidy as possible.

Also, your post is blatantly a whinge/complaint at mods, so don't take that tone with me.

Anyway, I just cleared out 2 pages of reports. *shrug*
