Should homosexuals have the right to get married?

That, sir is EXACTLY what I tried to say in my post.
In year 2009, why aren't homosexual people able to get married, that's is just ridicolous.

That is Canada, let them marry each other in Canada, that has nothing to do with the U.S. Constitution, just not in the United States.

I said yes. I dont exacly take a fond liking for the idea, but i dont think people chose to be gay. I'ts the same that i have a instinct for girls, they have it for the same sex. Its perfectly natural and cant be helped, sometimes you cant help to feel a little wierded out tho.

 

Maybe this doesn't belong to this thread, but also animals can be homosexuals.

If I can get married with a GIRL, why cant a MAN get married with a MAN, if he loves him?

Sometimes the laws are VERY, VERY stupid.

 

Well, while it shouldn't have to affect their ability to get marriage, to me it might make the difference as to whether discriminating against them could be morally acceptable. If somebody chooses to be something/believe something, (eg religion) I see nothing wrong with discriminating against them. On the other hand, if it's something they didn't choose (eg a disability, or race) I think it's wrong to discriminate against them.

No they can not do 'whatever they want'. There are laws everyone needs to follow, which limits everyone to doing what they want, including gays getting married.

 

Rahul i think 13litz3d means they can do whatever they want in the bedroom so we shouldnt restrict people due to sexuality

 

I say people should be able to do anything they want, so long as it does not harm another person. Is there any reason to limit this freedom, aside from saying something about laws?

 

everyone should let gay people get married when they are truly accepted into the normal society. im not gay but i think what ever makes someone happy why does it matter to you.

 

Everyone should have a right to who they marry, regardless of sex, maybe the person might be more comfortable with a person of the same sex, if you force them to something else, they're not going to enjoy it.

The main arguments against same sex marriage are:
The bible says it's bad. - Why should the government give a fuck about the bible? The government has no established religion. If churches don't want to host same sex marriages, they don't have to.

It's just...wrong. It's not normal - Not everybodys normal. majority rule, minority rights.

 

I think they should have the right to get married, it's their choice and their not bothering me with it.
