Adding pre-paid cards to PayPal...

Yeah, so basically I bought this crappy card from Walgreen's. It's a $50 pre-paid Visa, which I planned to add to my PayPal and purchase something off a site.

I need help adding it, but when I try to add it, I get:

"Denied by bank\card company..."

 

I had the same problem. I dont think they allow it anymore. I'm not sure but I hope someone else can help you more. Best of luck

 

You're going to have trouble with it I believe you have to manually contact them to do it if theirs an issue, but theirs also no billing address which can pose a problem when it goes to authorize it. It's a hit or miss with those cards sometimes it took numerous attempts when I used them back with the original xbox live. Can keep trying but I believe each failed transaction(attempt) decreases the value it's like a dollar charge or something for failed attempt.

 

I dont think PayPal allows prepaid cards anymore.

 

Yeah, i don't believe you can get your account verified by using a Pre-Paid now, but you can still put the cash onto your Paypal if you're a US/CA resident.

 

You can't use it to verify a paypal account.

Just use that card directly instead of paypal... Money will be coming from the same place, and I'm sure it's accepted as well anyways..

 

I'm a US resident. My account is already verified, it just won't add the card.

I'm trying to use the card to purchase something online that uses PayPal only (or a credit card through PayPal, which requires an account to be linked to that card).

 

I always thought paypal does a checksum with there own authorization system for the CC through paypal? I know most sites will take the card if it's a straight CC site. If you're verified why don't you just use the built in paypal debit card generator?
