Delete/move threads created by BANNED users!

Having a large amount of threads still open that were created by banned users only makes the site look bad to perspective members. In addition to making the site unappealing, it also emphasizes the fact that there are a large amount of scammers on the website. The threads could be removed completely, and save Sythe some bandwith (seeing as how the website crashes at least once a day, I'm sure it could use it). Another suggestion is that the threads could be placed in a sub-forum similar to an archive, but tailored specifically towards threads that were created by banned users. In many of the forums on this website, the traffic isn't high enough to allow the threads that are locked by moderators to fade onto different pages than the recent posts. This is just something that has bothered me about Sythe from day one, and I'm sure many other members will concur.

 

I archive all threads by banned users if they no longer serve a purpose.

 

I see many useless threads that are still active, or simply locked, but are still listed amongst the other threads.

 

You apparently don't have any idea how hard it would be to keep up with every post from every banned member. There are thousands of banned members.

 

A lot of banned member's threads are actually constructive unless of course its in the Black Market. So I disagree with this. I have a lot of guides and things favorited from banned users. (most likely they tried getting the user title for 'trust')

 

While there are many constructive threads that were created by banned users, I'm referring to the threads that aren't. One section in particular that I've noticed this problem in is the Middleman forum. A lot of those threads don't need to be there if the person who was offering the service is now banned; this only promotes scams by banned users of Sythe.

 

Lol if we did that we would be missing alot of stickies from all banned staff

If the person who was previously banned gets unbanned, then their post can be resurrected upon request...

Not all of the threads have to be removed bro. It would be nice if the useless ones were removed though.

 

You really have no clue how friggen tedious running a forum with this many posts is, do you? If you can find someone to put in the time to archive, and unarchive (after sifting through thousands of what may or may not be considered constructive threads), then go for it.

 

Why would anyone be stupid enough to trade with a banned user? Also, It's like what Corey_ explained, you have no idea what mods do.

 

I understand the massive amount of work it would require from mods, so I suppose this idea is a no-go. Thanks for taking it into consideration though.

No, simply on the fact that some of them are useful and nice to read. This could be implemented in the black market section, however.

 

More than half of the banned members post in there. So as I said before, too tedious.
