Rock is better in my opinion. Just don't listen to much rap.

Rap or Rock, imo who cares. People listen to what they like, it's not going to make a difference.

Hard, I like some rap and some rock. But I would probably go with rap.

This is dumb. Rap and rock aren't opposites, and plus "rock" is such a broad term, and rap is such a narrow one.

Please, tell me some songs you hate and why you hate them, and some songs you like, and why you like them. I doubt you could even do half of this.

Agreed. Like every rock fan says rap is shit, but no rap fan says rock is shit, they just dont like it.

They call it shit because it gains a reputation for being about gangs and violence. Rock doesn't have that reputation. I'm not saying rap is shit, just saying since the mainstream rap goes on the radio and people listen to the lyrics being about bad things, then that's what they assume, but I know a lot of people listen to non bad influenced lyrics of rap music.

 

Rap, when it was first born, was primarily a way for oppressed and discriminated-against blacks to voice their anger against the 'white man' for stealing them from their home countries and forcing them to be slaves. Over time, Rap was turned from an intelligent way to express anger to the corporate hell-rap that you see today that consists primarily of black men dressed in trashy outfits bragging about how much of "dat white booty" they get or "how much gs dey be makin" or "bustin' dem other niggas up" etc.

 

Old rap is the shiiit, I woulnd't even classify the last couple year's attempt at it as "rap".

I preffer rock, but bands like Living Legends, NWA, etc. are fuckin boooomb
