Speech Verbs: How to effectively avoid redundancy

    Speech Verbs

From what I've seen when people write or type (especially in fanfiction), I notice that they overuse words such as said, asked and others similar to this. To avoid continuous use of the same words, I am going to compile a list of all the Speech Verbs I come across.

    List of Speech Verbs:

    Said
    Explained
    Exclaimed
    Asked
    Questioned
    Thought
    Proclaimed
    Countered
    Shouted
    Whispered
    Thanked
    Replied
    Responded
    Concluded
    Summarized
    Finished
    Began
    Agreed
    Disagreed
    Pushed
    Continued

I will update this list daily, so long as I can think of or am given some more of these types of speech verbs. Hopefully you'll read this before going and writing a story or something equally troublesome; the world will be purged of speech redundancy so long as this list is used.

Great list. People get redundant with the word "like"
    alternatives for that could be

    and
    also
    etc
