Knowing if a user is online before you click a thread?

So this is my idea. I like to browse the black market a lot.. and I usually like to make my trades quick, with people that are online. It would make it a lot easier if to the side of the thread there could be a graphic thing that shows if the maker of the thread is online or not.. This Would also make many other things easier. Mostly the black market... but MMing for example. When people need MM's, they want someone that is online, of course :p
Even just the general talk would be nice, as people could discuss opinions with the user of the thread, etc. without having to click on the thread. I guess I might just be lazy... but what do you guys think?

Sounds like a good idea, but wouldn't people have to click the thread eventually to get contact information as well as to decide if he's trustworthy or not.

Yeah, but I still think it'd be nice. Plus if you've already looked at the thread once before, and just want to know if the user is online or not...
This would just make sythe more easy to use, at least for me. It's definitely not mandatory. :p

I likes. It's not very necessary but I understand why you want this implemented.

Not necessary at all, but it would be very useful, especially since Sythe takes ages to load each thread sometimes.

I agree. Placement could be next to the thread creator's ame when surfing the forum, looking at the thread?

    My thoughts exactly.
Yeah, that might work. Or by the "Hot thread with new posts" thing. Or even in the same box as the "Hot thread with new posts."

I don't see it necessary. Just another thing that someone will have to mess with implementing and then be hardly used. Also, you could just check the "Who's online" list at the footer on the index page.

Not necessary because, as you said, you're only being lazy. I would rather have the staff work on completely new enhancements.

I would agree with you if sythe didn't lag so much. But it gets frustrating having to wait for a minute or so for the thread to load, just to see if the user is online or not. But yeah, I guess there is the users online at the bottom...

Possibly make the username under the username green? Probably easier to make.

Oh, I get it. That would get confusing for the staff's names because they all pretty much have coloured names. And you can't have a blue and a green name. :| But that would be more easier than this.

I don't get it. Staff names are not colored under the thread title.

Oh, okay. Go to the beginning of Sythe where it shows all the sections. Now, go to the very bottom, and look for a coloured name. See? Now, wouldn't there name have to be coloured to their appropriate rank if the "coloured name" suggestion actually got applied?
