No, Don't trust any of them. I guarantee that they are all script kiddies. There are REAL sites that you can go to where coders work, you basically rent them out. People who know what they are doing and do it for a living. I do a lot of programming but it's not in web design.

A. Web design is just that: Web design. PHP and JavaScript have little to do with designing anything. The actually designing itself is typically done through programs such as PhotoShop, which has nothing at all to do with PHP or JavaScript;
B. PHP and JavaScript are hardly programming languages - they are more like scripting languages. Yes, they are based on programming languages, but no, they are not technically programming languages. (If you were smart enough, you'd know the difference.)

Come on guys. Calm down. Some people say that web design covers everything. Others say its the visual and how well the content is provided to the end user. Web development is everything to do with designing sites for the internet. This would include server side programming languages.

Plus, you do not design with PhotoShop. The images are a small part of designing a webpage.

And. PHP and JavaScript are programming languages. The programmer does not need to compile them, but both are very powerful. If you didn't notice... Most forums run using PHP...

 

If it does not compile, it's technically not a programming language. And yes, designing the layout consist of designing the layout, not building the website. Web development is slightly different than web design.

wrong... JavaScript and php are Scripting language no matter how powerful they are...
and yeah, most forums are running with php, since it's a server-side language... it's impossible to run a forum with JavaScript or any other client-side language.. (for obvious reasons)
