    What is a screenshot?
Screen Shots (or Screenies) are usefull in that they provide proof of an accomplishment or sale. They are incredibly hard to alter unless you are skilled in photoshop. Screenshots are used in selling accounts, scam reports, and saving embarrassing moments on TC.

    Taking a screenshot.

For a Macintosh a full screen screenshot is the combination of three keys at ths same time
    Code:
    Shift~Apple~3
    a selection screenshot is
    Code:
     Shift~Apple~4
Once a screenshot is taken it will show up on the desktop. The name of the picture will be #.png
    [IMG]

    Congratulations! Your screenshot is done

    Editing a screenshot.

Now to edit the screenshot you have to download the application Paint Brush.
then open the picture with paint brush and edit!

Then use the tools to edit!

    Uploading

There are several ways to upload

One of the ways is to make a photobucket account. Just go to the site and click register. Then go to upload images and files. Clicky the blue part and
    [IMG]

After clicking you will get this.

Clicky select, and then it will upload
when it has uploaded you can tag people
    [IMG]

Then just scroll over the picture and you get the code for posting
    [IMG]

The other way is using Tinypic.
Tinypic is faster, but you harder to create an album on.

The first step is to chose the file. You will see a popup screen identical to photobucket.

Then you have to go through anti spamming security.

You know you are done when you reach this. It presents you with the picture, and the URL.

    You can also use Grab.
It's a program that comes with most Macs; it takes more time to take the shot, but it has a couple more options, and lets you choose the file name before you save.

I'll give it a 4/10. It's good to know, and with all the shortcuts on Mac, I'm sure some people don't know it. But, if this is a screenshot guide, it might have been worth posting a few add-ons, like how to crop a screenshot once you have it (since there's no paint, either.)

Grab takes longer then just doing a simple combo with mouse keys. Otherwise you can exit safari or do other bad stuff. What if you are pking? You could lose a bunch that way.

Hm, would've definitely been useful if my Mac hadn't been broken during my move. I use this computer for games and stuff, but for school, I use my Mac. Yeah, fricken movers'.

Paint is not something that comes standard on Mac; you have to download it. Otherwise, screenshots will open in Preview.

This is true, but you can go into settings and make Paint your default photo-viewer.
