    Is the latest release of Windows 7 by tech net the final version of windows 7? As in, no more beta?

    I don't think so. It's still a few months away from release. Maybe some private releases, but I don't know about any more release candidates.

    Windows 7 Build 7100
    Release Candidate - Basically they basically fixed all the known bugs that cant be fixed with updates later on and gave it to the public so they can do the bug testing for them. Probally Going to be a RC2, then some internal stuff. Then Final Release.

    RC is pretty close to final

    it won't get too much better - mostly stability tweaks

    Should be done early 2010
