    Which should i Play?

    Hey. im stuck. i just want to hear peoples opinions etc.

    THE MAIN QUESTION

    Should i Play Hockey Or Basketball?

    Specs:

    Im 5'3" VERY SHORT. and about 145 pounds. (im fat :() because i put on weight during the winter. and im looking to lose it also. :)

    now im a good shooter, im good with handling, always a team player. and im pretty good overall. But the kids, on the team. are like 5'8"+. Think i would be a good point gaurd? or something.

    Second.

    I love Adrenaline. i love Fights. (Im Short, But dont get me wrong i can still kick some asses. :D)

    Im VERY good at skating (Roller Blading etc.)

    But im not "Scared" but nervous, of the shit about hockey. i dont want to crack my head open, and i know ice is not forgiving. etc. and have a fucking Puck coming flying at me at 100 Mph.


    Which do you think i should play?

    Hockey. You can't be short and fat to play basketball, but you can be for a goalie for hockey. You'll definitely lose a lot of weight when you pick up hockey, btw its not as dangerous as it seems.

    i never said i was fat. i mean i said i was, but im not realy once i think about it. and no, goalie is the worst position in hockey.

    You should play this new game called. 'Get the fuck out, and do it yourself'

    Go fit in with the 'cool kids'

    No offence, but I don't think you'll be able to play either high leveld with what you've told us.

    If you want to just play one at community level, then I'd suggest hockey, but you would need to get in better shape.

    If you're trying to get into a sport with the sole intention of getting into shape, trying swimming. I used be a part of my town's swim team until I took up track, but I remember there was this kid who was about my height at the time (5'3" as well) but he weighed like 150-160lbs and qualified for state. Actually, at the high school level quite a few swimmers are overweight (mainly because they ear more than they swim). So, try and take up swimming, without eating like a pig and you'll surely lose weight. Who knows, maybe after some practice you'll find out it's your niche.

    Hockey would be better for you. You could score goals easier, and it's a better game (IMO).

    Wth, I thought you wrote that you put on weight during the winter, and was looking to lose it. But yeah, try hockey. It seems hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it fast. And it's fun.

    First of all, fighting in anything under juniors or minors is a suspension-in hockey-. Second of all, there is nobody you will be playing with that has a 100 mph shot. Garunteed. Third, your helmet is a full mask, as in it covers your full face with a cage, nothing is getting in it.

    Hockey is safe, generally. The only problems is taking a hit the wrong way, and the occasional puck to the ankles.

    I say hockey-but I'm biased, I've been playing hockey for like 6 years now.

    Basketball is much more fun, challenging and watched by more people than hockey.

    I don't know how old you are, but it sounds like your a tad short for basketball. If your still young there is a high chance that you will get taller still and you should consider this. But by what you have told us my personal suggestion is that you go play hockey.

    Dude I think you should play hockey, first off basketball sucks... lolz but for hockey like stated previously will let you lose alot of weight because you sweat way more in hockey then in basketball and your stature I would say either hockey or football and since its not football season... hockey is the best.
