What should I wear when PKing..?

Hey, I've just started playing on my zerker pure again, these are the stats:

Was wondering whether to use range or melee.
Whichever you vote, can you also write what you would wear in PVP (take note I'm not too hot on cash atm).

I'd say melee.

Helm: Berserker
Ammy: Strength
Chest: Prossy
Legs: Prossy
boots: Climbing
Shield: rune defender
Weapon: Dragon scim/dds
Gloves: rfd gloves/klanks

Well, this is the layout any proper zerker pure would use. If you don't have these items, then don't call yourself a Zerker Pure

Amulet: Str Amulet/Fury Amulet
Weapon: Dragon Scimitar/DDS
Shield: Rune Defender
Top: Fighter Torso
Legs: Gilded Skirt/Rockshell
Boots: Rune Boots
Ring: Zerker Ring
Gloves: Rune+

 

I say range because range is one my fav and you can make tons of cash with it.

 

Get like 1m gp in inv so you get better ratio...

You really think that'd he'd PK in stuff like fury, gilded and a zerker ring? Rofl, be realistic, and besides he said that he wasn't too full on cash atm ...

On-topic, this is what I'd suggest.

Helmet: Berserker Helmet
Amulet: Str Amulet
Weapon: Dragon Scimitar/DDS
Shield: Rune Defender/Rune Kiteshield if you don't have a defender
Top: Fighter Torso/Rune Platebody/Black D'hide Body/Proselyte
Legs: Rune Platelegs/Proselyte
Boots: Climbing Boots
Ring: Ring of Recoil
Gloves: Combat Brace/Any gloves from RFD chest (preferrably addy+ since addy has higher stats than combat brace)

 

I'm going to give you an actually helpful answer, please take this into consideration.

If you pk on that account you won't do well, and you'll die alot from pures.. You're 66 hp at (estimate) 75 combat for gods sakes. People your level are 99 range, or/and 99 strength, with things like darkbows, dragon claws, granite muals etc that will easily ko you just about whenever they want (which includes before you even know they're attacking you) My advice is train your stats up before you pk. Such as 85 strength and 10 (if not more) health levels.

If you decide to go against what I'm saying, use melee, I'd suggest using a dragon scimitar with dds, berserker helmet, rune gloves (or cb brace), climbing boots, rune defender, and rune plate legs and platebody. !And important! Fight other melees, don't fight rangers, just trust me.

 

You'll need to wear something that boosts your defence well, so wear a Rune platebody, Rune platelegs, a Rune defender, DDS/Dragon Scimator and last but not least a Beserker Helm. You may want to bring some ranged gear with your for a change, but that'd mean half your food supply would be left out.

 

IMO, Proselyte is only 25k(full set), almost 1/4 the price of Rune. It gives amazing prayer bonuses for its armor, and the defense of adamant armor. I mean sure, it has -30 slash bonuses but it has +17 prayer bonus. It is perhaps one of the more better welfare sets.

UNLESS, you're still willing to go rune.

Chest: Rune Chain
Legs: Rune Skirt

The loss is still 80k. Rather than 20k.
