I'm having difficulty wording this but here...

How does a adult overcome mental limitations set to them as a child?

 

It would help me more if you could tell me what limitations you may feel you are experiencing. If you want to PM thats fine ill be on for a further 30 minutes.

But ill give you a quick background check. When a person feels they have a mental limitation it comes in one of two ways.
1. Either trauma.
2. Or an unwillingly accepted adaptation of something you had once felt to be true. In a sense being indoctronised by a parent or someone who had impact in your life.

Once you can tell me what you feel you are limmited in, i can try help you overcome that

I've been brought up in a christian family where I was brought up to believe in god etc. Yet I've been having some doubts about my religion and don't know what to do. You probably won't be able to provide me with the answer I'm looking for, but some insight will do me some good.

I dont know if other people do this, but I used to be quite popular at the start of high school and I didnt have a worry, but now Im constantly thinking how popular I am, and if people like me and stuff. I dont understand why I am? Any insight?

 

Issues with being fat at one time, having fill a gap in ur life by eating to much and then not eating enough..then suicide..then overcoming these yet struggling with girls after getting them with humor..i struggle and fall back on jokes..its weird by 2 i struggle with self confidence still?

This may be out of the norm but...

I play Rugby League, and I am not exactly the biggest player on the field. When a bigger player is running at me, I find it difficult to attack a player bigger than me. And I don't feel that fear is stopping me. I have no thought about self-preservation. It kinda feels like when someone passees their hand in front of your eye and you blink on an instinct. Could you help?

I've been brought up in a jewish family so the belief in God idea is nothing new to me. I have doubts about my religion as well, and some stories and ideas just seem to farfetched for me to believe. But i for one do believe in a higher being.
*** Some background on the Earth's creation. - The theory of the "big bang" actually fits in quite nicely with science. Everything came origionally from carbon atoms. Which some believe were there as a result of this "big bang". Now it does'nt matter if you are Christian or Jewish or Muslim and believe in this "God", - the simple fact is something cannot come from nothing.
E.g - The big bang could not just happen, something needed to make it happen. And for that, people turn to the idea of God.

I hope i have sort of clarrified your belief of God, whether it is a Christian interpritation of God or a Jewish, or a Muslim, either way i feel there is something beyond us.

I think we have enough people with this problem for a Support Group ^_^.

 

This is an issue i'd say 80% of all teenagers face. And even adults in a different context.
It's perfectly normal to feel you have to keep your 'game' up or that whatever you do, you are watched by others. And sadly its true. I can't walk outside for a smoke, without it getting around the community. But a way i deal with it is vey simple. People change and so do their views. The lat thing you want to do is try and act different than you did before. As long as you have a close friend you can talk to, you should be fine.

Do your best succeed in whatever you attempt to strive in. And people will respect you for that. People will get annoyed if you try to be different to be popular. So just be nice, be yourself and im sure you will be popular.
