I never comment back if a girl thinks I'm "cute" or whatnot, unless I know them on a personal level. But that's just me, I'm an asshole, and being an asshole is sometimes why I think particular girls go after me. So I guess you can try that, the more you ignore them the more they're attracted to you (and then when you feel the time is right, try to come on to her, it occasionally works). Oh, definitely do not try and use expansive diction, it probably never works (I'd suggest a pickup line before that).

Say what you think about the pic. If what you think sucks, make a poem for her. She will kind of feel hurt by her putting a story, and you putting a few words. or a lame pickup line. The santa one might actually work though =P
