Swine Flu. Could this be the next worldwide Pandemic?

Its not a question of could it be the next worldwide catastrophy, it is. Some countries such as Italy are actually banning the kiss on the cheeck.. as a way of greeting people. In most airports they have installed heat cameras to detect any person with a temperature and they will be checked out. Its truly a serious matter.

I don't think you have Swine Flu man. You might have a minor cold or allergies. The main symptoms are the same as a normal flu.+

    Fever (over 100 degrees fahrenheit)
    Cough
    Sore throat
    Runny or stuffy nose

You may also experience muscle pain, fatigue and vomiting or diarrhea.

It's both overhyped and over publicized.

I agree, it still doesn't scare me. Its like 2 percent different from a normal flu, the normal flu killed 35,000 people this year. They make a big hype over it because 159 people out of the 3000+ who have had it died and they were all from Mexico.

Honestly, the media and the health organizations are shitting their pants too much over it. They just need to stop fearmongering because its going to make matters hell of a lot worse.

As it is now being considered a pandemic, I still don't care. The normal flu is also a pandemic, it hits us every year and kills over a quarter of 100,000 people each year. Like I said, and I agree to the above statement, its overhyped and overpublicized. Just leave it alone, whats gunna happen will happen anyways.

First of all that link doesn't work.

Second, I hope your not serious because there are a lot more things to be afraid of than the Swine Flu. Your gf is correct.

You should try learning about this more instead of listening to what the media say and thinking your going to die from a cough.

Yeah, I really think you need to sit back and relax dude. There are more things to worry about than this, honestly, still the only people who have died were the Mexicans because of their lack of health care and cleanliness, most of the countries around the world are better health conditions than Mexico. Take a chill pill seriously, its not going to be that bad. We may see a death here or there, but that happens every day due to disease. The Mexican deaths are even starting to stable off, On Sunday there was like 30 deaths, Monday 20, Tuesday 15, Wednesday, 10, and Thursday (today) 9 or so. Seriously, let the health care professionals take care of it.

And also, stop listening to the news, you are the type of person that they want. They want to get you freaked out so you keep going to their sites and listening to their news broadcasts, as was said numerous times in this thread. Its fearmongering, and I used to be the same way as you a few years back. You just gotta learn to sit back and relax, what would you do if they never even told you about this? You would just be going on with your life like normal, and if you got sick you would lay low and take a few days off. Thats all that this flu is doing...

So what I am trying to get at is to, relax, Take a chill pill, stop watching the news, and listen to your girlfriend.

Seriously man, shove a dick in your mouth,
No.... you are. 68 deaths in mexico? woohoo... it's mexico, i bet most of them were farmers who can't get proper medical care.

It's spreading, uh oh... who cares again, it's almost the same as the average flu people get every year.

I just came home from a game where a few people were infected by it a few days ago. Nothing happened.

    Just relax.

More people die of drunk driving accidents in a week than swine flu in 30 years.

I just think it's all hype. I doubt it will ever get so big that it will kill even 10% of the population of America.

Isn't this spreading more rapidly then any of those? I just watched my local news, 4 people have been diagnosed with it in a neighboring city. I live right next to the border :(.
