Welcoming back Billyy as Runescape Moderator

When someone voluntarily leaves they can come back anytime and ask to be reinstated as a staff member (equivalent to that they were before). Billyy left and he came back and the only spot open was Runescape section.

But can't he just wait for a spot like off-topic, why mod someone who doesn't even play the game and isn't up to date.

Because, Xbox4life, if you're good friends with at least one staff and the rest know you, you become a mod. How else do people get recognized? How do you even think members get staff positions in the first place? A staff member finds someone "worthy" and suggests them or recommends them for staff and if people have no objection an admin makes it final.

You really should consider the art of brown nosing if you ever want to get staff.

 

That is so heavly biased.

 

Getting on IRC also helps you as well. Look at benwise90 he is the biggest troll, and really isn't mature enough to ever have a moderator position. He was on IRC knew some staff members and boom he is mod.

 

That is one of the most unused ways to promote people, because it has VERY shitty logic.

But really, RS section needed at least one more mod, and he was a great off topic mod, so at least we know he wont be shitty at giving bans/infractions.

But still, he doesn't play RS...

I'm kidn of on the fence about him being an rs mod, 'cause him = mod = good, but the logic behind him being an RS section mod is just lol'able.

EDIT: Good luck with rs section, Billyy, hope you do good and actually post a lot in there.

Congrats, I'm sure you deserved it.

 

Nor did I, some knowledge of the game is obviously required to mod the section, but being active on the game really is un-necessary

 

Just because I do not play RuneScape, doesn't mean I can't handle the section. I still know what breaking the rules looks like, and I still know what should and should not be there.

Have some faith people.

 

h is the only reason I'm not totally against this way of promoting people.
Because they only do it with people that have a lot of mod experience.

 

Get yourself a usertitle :laugh: . I see it as kind of a demotion from Off-Topic to Runescape, but I'm predicting you'll be a Global soon, probably when one of the other Globals takes a break.
