what did he do that was good...

he fed his people with propaganda
he gave people jobs only to tax that money away and leave them with almost nothing
he mass murdered an ethnic group
he build one of the largest cult of personalities
he was, as Holden Caulfield would say, a phony
he built his rule upon lies and scams...
the only thing that could be looked as good was that he brought germany to a limited rise in power

 

Hitler was a strategitic Genius. Hitler thought he was Supperior to Russia and attacked it because : 1. He did not expect the coming invasion of the Western World. 2. He Needed the Oil fields of Asia and if he was successful blitzkreiging Russia, He could of Cut oil supplies(life force of an army) to Russia and have easily of conquered the Motherland. But the harsh winters of Russia and the extreme persistance despite heavy loss of life proved the difference.

Hitler was also unstable mentally. Althoguh there is some historical evidence of this theory(but none of that which is "concrete") Hitler was starting to believe he was a "divine" being so to speak. He believed that God Chose him for a mission and that he was undefeatable. The story behind this occures after Valkyrie ( or however you spell it ), which was based upon true events transpiring to the attempted assasination of Hitler from Generals of the German Army and his Personal Staff. After the failed attempt, it's documented that Hitler stated that he could not be killed and that God sent him on a mission and etc.

 

You are correct in saying Hitler thought the Wermacht, Luftwaffe and Panzer Divisions would overwhelm the entire Industrial machine of the Soviet Union. However he invaded the Soviet Union for Lebensraum (living space), sources of fossil fuel and industrial resources not just only oil.

You are also right about the how devastating the Russian winters and to-the-death persistence was against the German war machine.

Hitler however did not think he was divine, however he applied that idea to his followers. Hitler knew he was a mere mortal and did not wish a painful death and embarrassing exposure if captured by the allies, therefore committed suicide.

Simple answer to your question. They should not have declared war on the U.S.! Japan attacked the U.S. and for some odd reason Germany declared war on the U.S.

Also in the Battle of Britain, destroy their radars and land on the mainland and gather troops for a massive invasion inland. Instead he went easy on Britain and turned on the USSR which ultimately destroyed his army. Should have kept peace with the USSR.

Overall, not declare war on the U.S. and not invading the Soviet Union. Also to add, Hitler fired Rommel, the 'Desert Fox', a MASTER at strategy in Africa. When he did that the Allied Forces started winning at The Battle of El Almein which turned the tide in Africa.

 

Actually, Einstein was Jewish. Although he partially lost his religion for a time, he was always Jewish, especially as a child and late in his life. He may not have been the most devout, but he was in fact Jewish.

My opinion is that he was a very intelligent individual who acted upon what he thought would make his country and possibly the world a better place by getting rid of all of the races who at the time (and still considered so by many in this day) were considered lowly and useless. You don't have to like what he did but if you don't respect his aspirations for doing so, then you have no personality or a appreciative mind for change.

If I was Hitler, I wouldn't have broken the agreement to not go through Belgium, but then again, he did get far by doing that, but I would have found another path.

 

Hitler could have taken britain had he not got pissed off over a raid. He went from bombing the air fields to bombing london, giving the RAF enough time to get into the air and counter their bombing. He lost hundreds of thousands of his finest troops in stalingrad, another large mistake. Had he not prevoked Russia or messed up on his aerial plans he would have completed fortress europe. Mind you he needed to get to the oil fields in Russia to fuel his starving creations.

He was incredibly smart and hated Jews for many reasons. He had good reasons for hating them, but his actions wern't well... yea

If I was hitler with the same intentions as he had one of the major incidents which I would try and alter would be the to try invade the other countries. This was one of his major mistakes. He invaded Poland, Danzig, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland, France (partial), Monaco, Yugoslavia and Greece (with the help of Italy), Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and The Soviet Union (partial)

His biggest mistake was attempting to take France, everyone knows this is where the Germans met heavy resistance. If I was him I wouldn't have attacked France directly or till later in the war.

He underestimated the resistance and the attack wasn't well planned.

 

Actually France was basically annihalated. France fell after only several months of conflict. Invasion of the Soviet Union was a mistake in my opinion. Hitler could have comprised with Stalin to stay neutrel as Stalin did not trust Britain and France.

 

I wonder how our world would be now if Hitler would have defeated the allys.

Hitler was smart. He did what Obama is doing now. The power of speech. I also don't think he should have betrayed Russia because they would have helped Hitler keep control of countrys in the middle east because Russia is very close to those country's and transporting troops would have been easier because moving by land would be easier since Russia doesn't have any direct routes to the major oceans(besides the Articand north pacific).

 

Correct me if im wrong but i thought that nukes were created in the Manhattan Project by thousands of scientists.

USA had a big part to deal with helping end the war. Russia had a strong army to the East of Germany and there wasn't a major superpower such as USA on the other side of him. Correct me if im wrong but didn't Germany roll over France and Britain when they both tried to stop them and the French and British had to retreat over the English Canal? But what the US did was provide a significant army to the West of the German forces so that the Germans had to fight a 2 sided war.

Onto the subject, Hitler's biggest mistake was invading Russia even though they had a treaty (Can't remember the name) to not invade each other during the war. Also wasn't this the war where Germany decided to sink American ships with their U-boats? If they didn't do this it would have kept USA out of the war and Germany wouldn't have had to face pretty much the world.

Well first of all he was fighting a 2 front war, he fucked himself in the long-run and short-term. Nuff said.

 

First off, he wasn't extremely smart he was just good at manipulating people. Second of all, I wouldn't of done it in the first place.
And lastly, Russia was already invading Germany it really wouldn't of mattered if we had waited 1 more year. We bombed Japan AFTER Germany had surrendered.
