Muted for Rule 12?

I have a main that I never ever not once ever used to RWT or PowerLevel on. I do that on my other pure accounts.

This account is very old, has bunny ears, scythe, etc.

I get a message in my inbox, aside from two rule 1 offenses years ago, these are my only offenses.

I get not ONE but TWO rule 12 offenses. The FIRST ONE dated back to MARCH of 2008! So they decide to hit me with it now?? Ok wth. Thats odd.

The next one is April 09.

So I get two rule 12's offenses in one day, one year apart, for some unknown reason.


Now my net did go down and I did use my Samsung Instinct to tether my PC to for a week to play RS. Three days after this i get these offenses.

Whats odd is one says i've been temp banned (the 2008 one)

and the other says i've been perm banned (The 2009 one)

And in the offense history page it says 'you have been muted for 5 days. by a moderator' - That's verbatim too.. all in lowercase letters with the '.' after the days.

Seem's very odd. I mean very very odd.

To be temp banned with an offense set one year ago, then perm banned with the offense set to this month, and be muted for 5 days.

Both appeals were denied. I asked them to look it over, and double and triple check because they seem to be going retroactive a year ago and this month.

What kills me is I never even rwt'd on this account of mine.

What the hell gives with jagex these days? Sounds like rogue mods..

 

They probably thought you were rwting because of some difference in the phone/regular internet? Did you happen to use the same method a year ago?

But the 'you have been muted for 5 days. by a moderator' is very odd. They would usually put something like "You have been muted for 5 days by a Player Moderator", but I have never seen one so personal and... Unprofessional. It probably was a rouge mod. Very odd, maybe someone hacked Jagex/someone just got fired and is getting back?

Update. My str pure pking account JUST TODAY received the same thing!

Except it was a rule one from TWO years ago and a rule 12 from the same time as above. Same style of unprofessional message too. Apparently it's gonna get you in trouble to play with more than one pc, isp, whatnot.

 

dude.....when a player moderator reports you they have the option to mute you for 48 hours.

 

Listen here dipfuck. You need to know the whole story before opening your fucking trap. If you read it, you'd know I wasn't reported by a player mod. The original mute was for four days.

Dont talk in my threads unless you can follow simple logic and use coherent sentences.

 

Same thing for me, says you have been muted by moderator for, and that i have 4 days left until unmute. And i got busted for rule 12 as well .

 

I know you've never rwted, but so you use a proxy. If so they find it very suspicious. Jagex Fails

 

Never really heard of this happening before.

 

I'm not completely sure as i've never seen this happen before.

My best guess would be the IP change, but i've had friends who were in differant states play accounts and they were all fine.

Maybe try to send in customer supports asking what happened ( good luck with that :/ )
