World of Warcraft Guides Section

Basic Proposal

As a big player of World of Warcraft, I suggest that a World of Warcraft guides section is created in either the World of Warcraft sub-forums section or the User Education section is created.

Reasons for Creation

I would like this section created for the following reasons:

• As an avid player of World of Warcraft, I would like the chance to be able to create guides and share my knowledge with the community. At the moment, there is no section and writing about World of Warcraft is banned in the User Education section.
• I would enjoy the chance to read others advice about the game.
• unb4ann3d already has an FAQ in the World of Warcraft general section. While it isn't seeing a huge amount of attention due to the fact I don't think there are enough players or people interested enough to post, I think basic informational guides would interest even non-players.
• The Runescape 2 section has a guides sub-section; I believe it would be nice for the World of Warcraft section to have one as well.

Benefits

This section would allow people who play to write guides, and non-players to read guides which may even start them playing.

Further Suggestions

If this section were created, sub-sections for different parts of gameplay could be added for further organization. Some basic ideas are about four sections; General Guides, Raid Guides, Gold Guides, and Event Guides (such as Noblegarden which is currently taking place).

Required Work From the Staff

Adding a new section always requires time from the staff. A basic outline of the work involved would be:

• Actual creation of the section and possible sub-sections.
• Either another moderator or a current moderator willing to look after the section(s).
• A moderator to prune useless posts and guides.

I hope you like my section and hopefully I will see it approved.
