So recently I started to play OSRS again and I made a main

 

Yeah that's one thing I was concerned about. They all say no botting but how can you know for sure? I only paid to get my thieving done 45-53 so I think my account should be safe. I also noticed that their are even quest bots available these days

 

Really? I thought all botting bans were perm bans

 

You should be fine as long as they aren't botting it. Not all botting bans are a perm, especially for a first offense, that would be RWT.

 

I have bought some gold, but from what I hear, Jagex go after the gold sellers, not the buyers

 

Well yeah, they go after the sellers for a fact, but there are certain cases where the buyer can get banned as well but less commonly. I've never had an issue with it.
