Legalize Marijuana?

tbh, if you can drink alcohol, get fucked up, w/e
you should be able to smoke pot.
It's not like you'll die unless you're an idiot and breathe in too much smoke. Won't affect your liver. Won't kill you by having too much of it. Maybe a lisence? The weak minded get addicted and cause problems...

 

IMO it cant be 100% legal even though i smoke. It definantly needs to be decriminalized and medical marijuana needs to be implimented in more countries.

I have a rather skeptic look on weed not being bad.
You inhale it with tobacco, and tobacco is known to be lethal on long term use.
Therefore it's bad for your health and shouldn't be made legal.

The idea behind it is "make it legal and drug dealers will go away". Well, face it... it will so heavily taxed that people will be "illegally" selling a "legal" drug to avoid hefty taxes in place. I'd say no.

Well you should know the effects of the plant before you support it. It could be harmful while driving, but it's pretty damn unlikely.

Honestly, if I get really high I can't walk in a straight line because the way I view everything is impaired and everything is rocking back and forth and I'm dizzy, which didn't allow me to ride my bike, but that's because I did too much of some good quality cannabis.

I believe there is only one reason to keep it illegal because a car accident could occur while under the influence, but there are way too many benefits for legalization such as tax benefits and gangs and youngsters selling something illegal to make some good money.

So yeah, it kills the drug trade, and Marijuana is commonly sold. It also kills the Drug Cartels in Mexico and could possibly slow down gangs on making some money. Gangs can still sell hardcore drugs like crack for example, but not many people use those kind of drugs, but the most commonly used drug is Marijuana.

 

I go for legalizing it. I think that because they don't want it to be legal because it changes the way you think and react for a while. But, alcohol does the same this but it is legal?

 

Right... and ofc alcohol is now illegal because some dickface got shitfaced and ran into a tree and decapitated himself? No. Your one reason to keep it illegalized fails, because even though alcohol is a good 20x worse than marijuana, it's legal. DESPITE the fact that it kills your liver. DESPITE the fact that you have a way higher chance of dieing from too much alcohol consumption than you do dieing from pot because you're an idiot and inhaled too much smoke and not enough oxygen and choked to death.
Pot will lower your sperm count a little, and make you lose a few brain cells.
Compare that with alcohol.
After you smoke pot there aren't any hang overs.

 

Did you not read my whole post? I support legalization lol. I'm saying that the only thing harmful about Marijuana is causing a car accident while under the influence and like I said that's very unlikely to happen.

I also agree that alcohol is a lot worse, that's why I don't drink it. I myself do smoke Marijuana and I enjoy it, I'm not against it lol.

Please read the whole post before saying I'm against it.

I am for marijuana legalization for many reasons. For one it will eliminate most drug dealers and cartels that are violent. Second it will bring in an estimated 1 billion $ annually for California alone. We will need less police/DEA agents which also means less money towards marijuana and more money going to detectives for murders and crimes alike. Third.. ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME.

 

I think there are a few reasons its illegal (Im pro-legalization.)

1. They can't tax it. (People say they should make it legal and tax it, but if it was legal people would just grow their own in their gardens and inside or get it for free or cheap from friends that grow it.)

2. There are to many people evolved in stopping illegal marijuana use and trade. (Law enforcement ect)

3. There are to many people lobbying against it which basically give congress millions. (ex. Alcohol companies, Tobacco companies)

Why it Should be Legal

1. It is less harmful then alcohol and tobacco both of which are very addictive.

2. It is basically harmless.

3. It is just stupid putting people in jail for smoking marijuana.



Personally I do not believe it will be legalized in my lifetime. However I do think the decriminalization of non-violent marijuana crimes will come within 5-15 years.

 

The main factor that it is illegal is that it affects your learnign abilities for about 5 days after you use it, for the first time. so even though you don't feel high, you still have it in your system. So I think they should make it legal for adults 18+ because you're generally done school by then or just aren't goona finish it, and you're pretty much done learning unless you go to college/university.

r 0w ur points 2 and 3 i strongly agree with, never have thinking f them myself, but they could tax it. If they have massive growth op raids, and just take all their seeds, they can't grow shit. So you can't get it cheap from your friends. And then they could tax it. And like you said, there are lots of people involved in stopping illegal marijuana use/trade, well thats what they could do
