Feds Are Cracking Down

U.S. Federal Agents are actually cracking down on fraud on Sythe for anyone that commits fraud inside the United States.

Just a warning for you guys. Don't mess up your futures for a game.

Anyone outside the U.S. should be fine as long as they don't commit fraud against a U.S. Citizen (not sure about their policies with that, but I know if a U.S. citizen is harmed in any way, even outside the U.S., the F.B.I has jurisdiction).

 

Before you make such a dramatic claim, at least have some proof to back it up.

I'm not saying that this is true, but isn't investigating fraud one of the things they're meant to do?

 

I don't think they care about us considering we are selling stuff that we don't own. it's property of jagex and even says in the code of conduct on runescape, but it'd cool if they helped out and caught the scammers

 

Wouldn't they be more concerned about massive frauds and scams not someone stealing some gp?

 

That's insane if they do catch that stuff, but there are so many out there it'll be hard to find all of them.

 

It's not the game property that they are going to be investigating, it's the real money that people pay for game materials.

 

Its not the GP they care about, its the real life money being scammed that matters to them and is a federal offense since RuneScape has servers nation-wide in many different states.
And I'm not just saying this, I have spoken to actual Federal Agents about this.

 

Then post proof.

 

This is a given fact. When people get scammed of real money, police and other government agencies get involved.

 

You seem really concerned about this. I don't need to prove anything, this is a warning to scammers. If you scam, you may want to look into this.

And I know you hack rare names, not sure if you scam though, but accounts and gps hacking they won't do anything about. Like I said before, it is just the real life currency.

Also, just an FYI.. I PMed an Admin about a week and a half ago saying I can get Federal Agents to crack down on scammers on Sythe if you want to look at my Sent messages (Mods/Admins) who want some proof that I'm not bluffing.
