my first sig

well guys i downloaded paint.net and tried it out i didnt use any tutorials or nothing so im not great but heres my first try:


i realize its not that great but im half asleep and i just threw it together

Signature-making isn't worth practicing in paint unless you're making pixels. Get photoshop, download some tutorials, and try it out.

 

If you have fun makeing it, go for it.
Although, that sig's not the greatest.

 

make sure to keep precision and quality while doing it so the blurryness doesn't look like bad quality but more like fog,smoke? if that was the intended look

 

Lets see here:

1. The render is horrendous
2. The text is crap
3. It's really blurry
4. It's way too large
5. You used Paint.NET

Download Photoshop; make your sigs around 350X130; use good, non-blury renders; and read some tutorials. Also you want to pick text that you can read.

Keep trying, you'll eventually get better.

i dont really understand those i have winrar do i just download it from megaupload then extract them or what??

p.s. just made my new sig using paint.net so its not to bad for just putting together collages i quess

 

Firstly, when using Images, you want to have a good resolution. It looks like you have increased the dimensions of the image from it's original size, which is not good. Try to work with the image in a decent dimension and if not, try using another render and/or image.

There is no occupation for designing Signatures. That is just one of the very few fields in which you learn some of the most basic image editing techniques. Even more complex are designing website templates, layouts, and art pieces. I would experiment with some Brushes (I use my own made brushes from scratch because I work with 3DS Max Studio). The first thing you want to do in Photoshop is explore some of the basics and functions of the tools.

Signatures are worth practice because you get experience and learn from your recent images. For instance, here is one of my signatures I made about 3years back:

Wow, I'm gonna be brutally honest here, that is pretty much the worse signature I've ever seen. Everyone starts somewhere though, but yes, definitely start looking into tutorials, a lot of tutorials.
