People who are gay have love for other men.
Lesbian women too.
They are in love.
They feel compassion for one another.
Marriage is like, the bonding of two lives.
So what if they're the same sex?
They're in love and that's what counts.
It may be different than what you're used to, but what I think is that if you're against same-sex marriage, you're just secretly afraid of homosexuals. That may not be the case for everyone, but I have heard some people I know admit to that.

I don't think there should be a "right" to get married. The government should not be involved at all in marriage. If a man wants to marry a woman, a man, his dog, his television, it should not be a matter for government to get involved in. I believe that if ppl get married without government approval they are still married. Ppl have been getting married for thousands of years without approval of the U.S. government. Why start now??

Completely agree 100%. I do not support gay "union" but I do think they have a legal right to it. There is no reason why gays should not be able to be united in some ceremonial union, but I do not think they should allowed to be married. As Denode stated it is a religious ceremony and I am a Christian. So I believe that marriage is made by God to unite a man and a woman.

So if gay people would like to get united so they have the same benefit as marriage that is completely 100% fine, and I think it is a right as a U.S. citizen.

It is a religious ceremony. If you want to have some other type of union that is separate from the church then be my guest, but do not change the meaning of marriage. It was created by the church for a man and a woman, not by the government. So before you go acting all "church and state are separate" think about who invented marriage in the first place.

Make up some other ceremony for yourself. Like Jewish people do with Bar mitzvah, and mexicans have their Quinceañera.

I dont have a problem with it, the only reason I can see alot of people voting no regardless of religion is that it goes against the norm/what we are taught that is right and wrong in society today.

 

I dont think love should have a gender. If you're in love with someone, your in love with them and a gender shouldnt stop you from loving them.
