Same-Sex Marriage?

I recently watched some videos of Miss California opposing same sex marriage during a Miss Usa Pagent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LPv9L6sy5c) and lots of controversy has come from it.

What are your opinions on same sex (gay) marriage?

I'll put it this way:

I believe marriage should be viewed from a non-religious perspective. Everyone has a different religion and different beliefs so just because the majority does not agree with a law does not mean the minority should suffer.

I believe that they should have equal rights as anyone else.

Religion is what stops this most of the time, so if anyone quotes how the bible defines marriage i rest my case.

 

This notion that one marriage is "wrong" and one is "right" is ridiculous. The fact that in so many nations homosexuality in marriages is illegal is a disgusting and embarassing commentary on who we are as a global community. Then again, most of our laws, atleast in the states, are just that.
