Well the election is still on-going, it does look like things are leaning toward Trump though. Shame it wasn't all finished in one night.

Trump is about to make a speech in the White House, see if he declares he's won the election now, we have to wait for more states to come in or perhaps something else.

 

Trump's speech has said they've done very well (a lot better than what the media / polls predicted), he's now said he wants the votes to stop being counted and will ask the supreme court to ensure it happens.

 

This should be a pretty interesting week. For next election they should really set out the rules clear as day early on because this is going to be chaos trying to get a decision.

 

This is all a mess, and everyone is pulling their hair out lol. Though after looking into everything in depth I do see Trump winning this one with surety as he is leading PA, NC, and GA by a good amount.

But nearly all remaining states are leaning toward Trump, only Nevada seems to be leaning blue (and that is all Biden needs at this point). But it could still go either way.

In other news, Trump has been firing lawsuits at every swing state to change / stop the counting of the ballots.

My bad, I misread what you said. He did, however, take us pretty close with Iran, and the stunts he pulled with Israel against Palestine certainly won't win the U.S. any friends. I'm Irish, I know how a culture feels when they have a foreign oppressor.

Honestly, if you're earning ~500K+/year, I get it. It makes sense to vote for Trump. I still think he's an amoral egomaniac, but if all you care about is your own personal wealth - I get it. I'm assuming you're in that category.

Biden is now leading in Georgia and Pennsylvania, Trump can still win but it is looking very narrow now.

That's it, it's all over unless Trump can overturn it via the courts.

We're not even at that stage yet, if Trump gets this looked at in the courts and he somehow manages to overturn the result and win... we are looking at a potential civil war in the US (both sides will believe the other cheated). People will be fighting in the streets over this (if Trump overturns this in the courts).

This was the exact moment, the calling of the election, that democrats began to illigitimize Trump's victory in almost the exact same fashion as what trump is doing now to biden's victory.

If there's to be a civil war (ridiculous prediction, imo), and the circumstances are literally identical, it will be interest to me that it's the Republican party who instigated the same scenario to the point of violence.

It's hilarious that people throw around "civil war" like they know what the fuck they're talking about, without comprehending that civil wars require a climate where sons will kill parents, brothers will kill brothers, friends will kill friends over their political and social beliefs. Not to mention there needs to be an amassed force that can rival the might of the military in order to even be considered anything more than rioting.
