Well I only need number 5,6,7,8

along with the sketching of the graph i solved the inequalities i just need a good number line grapher that can graph these that would be faster.

5. x > 3
6. x < 1
7. x < or = -2
8. x > or = 5

To graph an inequality on a number line, you just have to show which numbers can be represented as 'x'.

If the inequality is "x > 1", then the graph would be:

<--------o◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘>
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5

If the inequality is "x > or = 1", then the graph would be:

<--------•◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘>
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5

You only fill in the circle marking where 'x' could be if the inequality involves 'x' being greater than or equal to something. If 'x' is only greater than something, you make an open circle to mark the endpoint.

I kind of know it but it confuses the shit out of me on how far i have to go past which number and what not if i have to stop at 0 if im coming from right or left...

and i have over 43 of them to do by end of tonight ill never get this thing done its just getting me agrivated.

Well if an inequality is just a simple "x > 1", then you put the open point at 1 and it continues forever. It doesn't stop unless it tells you: "1 < x < 2". In that case, you would put an open point at both 1 and 2, and just connect those two points.

Would it help you more if I fill some of the questions from that sheet on MS paint and post it on here?

well i hate this i kind of understand it already used a few guides from google just wish i hate a calculator that does this bull since i got a ton of them to do which i wont finish it sucks.....and the whole shading in the circle i thought you only do it when there is a line under these things <>

is there a page showing all of these?

but if you have the time you could ill try to figure out the back same bull on it..

but for the bottom section says solve the inequality and graph its solution

here are the answers to them to what to graph.

15. x>7
16. x<13
17. x<4
18. x<-1
19. x<-8
20. x>-6
21. x>-6
22. x<-12
23. x<3
24. x>-4
25. x>-2
26. x<-28

i think those are right from 15-26

and you dont have to do 27-30

Yeah, by saying "< or =" I meant < with a line under it.
I know a free graphing calculator tool you can download. You interested?

Will it do this type of thing like on a line?

I wish i was good in math everyone else is except me i totally fail at it only thing i really suck at.

yeah, you have the gist of it. just keep going, you're doing them all right so far.

EDIT: now that i think about it, it probably doesnt do number line graphing. it's not very hard, just put it in words and it's easier to graph the inequality. like for 'x > -1' just think "'x' is greater than -1, so it isn't -1, (put an open circle), and that means every number higher than -1 is on the line. Thats what I do when I use inequalities :)

Well with the thing above that you showed me with the lines/...

could you sketch one out for these then i can probably use it for the rest to see which direction to go to?

x<2
x>3 (has a line under >)
4<x
-1>x (has a line under >)

could you just draw lines representing those like the above so i know directions of the ><

also what if its x>-3
or x<-3

so the circle only has to be shaded in if there is a _ under a thing

And if its x<2 do i start from 2 on positive side with an unshaded circle and i draw a line up until 0 and make an arrow?

sorry it took a bit to get back to ya. i'll try to answer everything you wrote above.

x<2: unshaded circle, and goes into negatives (because x is less than 2)
<◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘o------------------>
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5............

x>3 (has a line under >): shaded circle
<---------------•◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘>
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5............

4<x: unshaded circle
<------------------o◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘>
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5............

-1>x (has a line under >): shaded circle
<◘◘•--------------------------->
...-1...0...1...2...3...4...5............

And for your last question on first post:

x>-3: unshaded
<-----------------------o◘◘◘◘◘◘◘>
...-8...-7...-6...-5...-4...-3...-2......

x<-3: unshaded
<◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘o-------->
...-8...-7...-6...-5...-4...-3...-2......

Hope that helps :)

dont need it i understand it finally..ran into my wall a little bit and then i tried to get it...

so lets say x<-28

i start out on negative side from 28 i draw a circle if there is a line under < i shade the circle in and draw a line to the left. if its other way around then to the right. am i correct>? to the left when its < to the right when its >
