Explanation of the trade: I agree to buy 500m OSRS for 185 euros at this agreed upon rate. Marcus was ok with this. I sent payment. Unfortunately it took PayPal 1 week to clear and prices changed. Now he is refusing to pay agreed upon rate.



How they scammed: refuse to pay out full 500m
Why I am owed the full amount: this trade could easily happen both ways. What if the gold prices DECREASED and now I am owed MORE than 500m? Marcus is acting as if he is my alcoholic dad on a friday out spending $19 of my allowance on beers and then making up excuses​

 

Hey @Yuva ,

You reached me out on Oct 19th wanting to buy some gold from us (500m to be exact). That's 1 week ago. Since you were ordering on Oct 19th, we gave you a quote of 185.00 EUR for such amount, since the rate was 0.37 EUR/m at the time of ordering. That was our agreement of the trade.

So what went wrong:
@Yuva Made an eCheck payment, it's unknown to me if he did this intentionally or not, and because of this, the payment was put on hold until Oct 26th. In such scenarios, we usually immediately refund such payment, but in a case of eCheck - PayPal doesn't give such option, you're basically forced to wait till it's cleared. I informed @Yuva about the issues and he agreed to wait till the payment gets cleared. I want to emphasize here that the original agreement is no longer valid at this point, since I will not be receiving the payment until Oct 26th.
Now, today, he reaches me out that the payment got cleared and insisting the 500m. I informed @Yuva that the rates went up and the amount you would be receiving with todays rate is 462.50 M 07, and if he's not satisfied with that, there's a second option of a full refund.

I clearly did not agreed on such trade and nor do I believe its fair for me in this situation to deliver full 500 M 07 and go negative on the trade.

P.s Im still waiting for @Yuva response regarding how he want's to handle this, 462.50 M 07 or a full refund.

Marcus did nowhere state that the original deal was void, hence why I today was ready to collect my gold. If this was the case and he had verbally stated this, I would be fine with receiving a refund. His excuses are worse than my previously mentioned dads and this states a lot considering he is always hungover when lying to me and this man drinks like a fucking rockstar (not to mention he fucks like a pornstar )

 

@MarcusGold was there any mention of a refund or potential price change at the time he made payment?

 

@video He was informed immediately when he made the payment that theres is no option for a refund when you make an eCheck payment, you have to wait till the transaction gets cleared first before one is able to refund such payment. There was no option at that stage but to wait till it clears. All he needed to do was to pay via PayPal balance like every other PayPal client would do and the trade would have gone as we agreed when he was ordering. Instead, he chose to do an eCheck payment, which we do not accept in a first place, because theres a chance that the payment will be automatically canceled.

Edit: He is now eligiable for a full refund since the payment is cleared now or 462.50 M 07 if he wishes so, it's entirely up to him to decide how he wants this to be handeled.

 

You did not inform him that you planned to offer him a new rate for the gold or that you would be refunding him when the payment cleared, he was led to believe he would simply be receiving the gold he paid for. Had you told him that you would be refunding his payment after it cleared or that the amount of gold he would receive had potential to change then there would be no issue here, but you didn't mention that until today.

While we do not ordinarily "force" people to complete trades, in this case because a fair amount of time has passed between when the payment was sent and now without any discussion of changed terms, it is the buyer's decision, not yours, how he wants to complete the trade.

@Yuva please post if you'd like the 500m you paid for or a refund and Marcus will have to honor your decision

Marcus stuck to his word, he delivered the 500m gp face to face as promised. I was kinda surprised when he knocked on the door. He is a bit fatter than described... I thought to myself.
He pulled out his laptop to trade me my gold, a very dusty dell from circa ~2008. It suddenly made sense, the smell, I don’t believe this person belongs in this neighbourhood. He is certainly a slum rat!
I let my thoughts rest, and logged in to grab the gold. A lvl 47 account named marcus2001 traded me, the account was wearing a crafting cape and looked exactly like marcus but slim. I accepted his invitation and in the trade went a chisel along with 500m gold pieces.

The rest is history but for this time all I will say is
Transfer complete.​
