    Memory....

I was looking at my Memory card for my PSP, and then i deleted something and i thought, what happens to the saved storage when you delete it? Does the data just magically dissapear? And if it doesnt then what happens, and if it does then how?

If it was good memory, it goes to heaven. If it was corrupted, it goes to hell.

Seriously, why did you make this?

Denode, I'm glad he did. I want to know the answer too. I'm posting so this doesn't get locked. He's got me wondering now.

Well, there's a lot of technologies available.

The simplest explanation would be that information is stored in little magnetic "dents" that have a certain pattern. Clearing this would wipe away such, or replace it (although it's arguable whether deletion fully clears the data).

Yo I think a better place for this is the off-topic forum.

This particular forum is for intelligent conversations. I'd say that really doesn't correlate with the requirements.

And btw: I believe the date will always be there. It just is not shown and occupies less space.

Yeah this should probably blong somewhere else.

Anyway when you get down to the very basis of memory all you are doing when you clear a save game or something is turning a bunch of 1's(on) to 0's(off). Study up on computers and electronics and it well benefit you in todays world.
