    End of the World

20,000 years? Where did you get your facts? More like millions or even billions.

...the Sun in the center of the Milky Way? Our solar system is about half-way out from the center. If we were in the center, our sun would be the least of our worries, more like the billions of other gigantic stars that would swallow us up and blind us all. Trust me, that is not going to happen.

Pole Switches take years to happen, not just one day. Anyway not everyone would die, but it would sure as hell kill off a few people even if it DID happen in 2012.

You mean solar flare...? If you do, then solar flares will really only throw off our electronics for a bit, maybe causing some casualtes but not much. However if it was a super-flare, sure we'd be screwed. We'd be incinerated in a second or less, however, so it would be a slow and painless death.

December 21 2012 is just the end of the Mayan calendar. Maybe they just said "Screw it, it's long enough. If we actually survive that long we'll just extend it"? Just because the calendar ends doesn't mean the world will end.

Nostradamus' prophecies were so extremely vague that it could really happen any time in the future. You could really fit his predictions around anything.

Accurate? No. Extremely vague and open to interpretation? Yes. Anyway his prediction was that the world would end in 1999, so wrong again my good fellow.

Does it matter. How when and why are truly irrelevant. Once it happens there will be no one to brag about whos theory was right anyway.

    I like this man.

Yet some people would still like to know how they would die. Call it a fetish, I don't know.

    End of the World

I guess there is a 90% chance that the world ends by either meteor/comet or nuclear warfare... As they are the biggest and mostlikely threats..

2012 is just sad.. cant wait to the day after when we can laugh em all up in theyre face ^^

    End of the World

The world will probably end in 1 million years? If the pollution crisis won't stop, maybe earlier? But I really do not believe it will end in 2012, the experts/scientistson topics like this aren't worrying about anything, so we shouldn't either. Although I've herd a theory of all the planets aligning and therefore causing various mutations to humans, but it's all total bullshit. Live your life in the moment, instead of worrying about the outcome of the future.

    End of the World

The way the world is going now, it will most likely be from Nuclear Warfare, but there is indeed the slight possibility of it being done by a meteor, etc.

    End of the World

What if something non-biblical comes around before then, such as a meteor, magnetic shifts, or nuclear war? Or are you just going to attribute THOSE to god too?

I'm locking this as there hasn't really been any new ideas recently and it is starting to become semi-spammy.
