Why am I not getting pmed.

So like I broke the rules to get an infraction to see if I would get a pm and I never got one again. Why?

 

Because they're un-necessary and time consuming...

 

They are necessary because then we know your guys opinions about the warn/infraction. Instead we have to make a stupid dispute just to know why you warned/infracted.

 

Well the infractions are linked to the post, the post will only be infracted if its against the rules which should be known anyway

 

I AGREE you should be notified. once i got a infraction.. when i noticed... it was expired =P

well once i got a infraction for spamming... i got a notification via mail.. i added the infractor (macroman)... and he reversed itbecause i explained the situation

in that case, the notification via PM was important (check my infractions for proof of this)


i support 100% your cause Cfrey infractions should be notified via PM

 

True, but...

1. You get no notification that you are infracted. Thus meaning you have no clue to stop or anything else. Oh sure you give an infraction but someone won't know unless they go look at their profile.

2. Offensive material. Some others don't think anything is offensive in what they post and should be explained why they were.

3. Unfair bans. You are never really told that you have been infracted. So you may be doing something that you don't know is against the rules and be infracted multiple times for it thus ending in a ban. Well hell no mod took the time to pm me on what I was doing wrong, and I never received a notification that what I was doing was wrong.

 

Possible solution:
Pop-up window saying you've beein infracted, similar to the one that you get when you recieve a PM?

 

yup thats a good solution... but harder to do ??

pming its just easier... and takes less than 30 seconds

 

Unless the PMs are automated, it likely wont happen.

 

I didn't know that i had a few infractions and nearly got banned, please do something about it.

I thought they were? Doesn't it have the PM form to fill out when you go to give an infraction?

I belive my friend was affected by this his name was mon94key he was perm banned for "ban evadeing" when he isnt even sure what hes done wrong too get banned and how he can even "evade" an ban i think that alot of people on this fourm need too be unbanned or atleast have the right too know why they been banned or someone over all moniters the mod's reporting peple.

 

I have a bunch of spam inf's because I frequent a forum where they are lax on stuff like that as long as you keep it mild and clean, but that doesn't happen here, I was nearly banned because I didn't know I was getting infractions, after I checked them I realized the tolerance level is lower here and stopped.

PM would have saved a lot of trouble.

not to mention when it creates a bunch more disputes it just wastes mods time.

 

Instead of being lazy, just check your profile, and the infraction will be there, with a link to the post which broke the rules.
