After a week of messing with GIMP.

So I downloaded GIMP (can't afford Photoshop ) and I decided to make a thread showcasing my progress :]. Here it is.

First one ever:


Second: (More GOW pplz )


Third: Used a Kakashi render this time.


Fourth: A "Representative" signature of me and one of my mates. (Conrad423)


Fifth: This one has animation!!!! Oh so 1337!

most lack basic depth, flow or lighting, read up about blending and more subtle techniques to make text standout, apart from colour.

 

u definatly need to look up some tutorialss, how come no one ever does it?
the 2nd one is sorta the best and the worst, because it looks like u did nothing to it but add an outline to the render.
and what is the animation supossed to be?

 

to be honest, theres something about the lastone that i like.

 

HE's got animation so I'm pretty sure he read some tutorials. And what's wrong with you? Stop spamming this forum right now and show some respect in your posts.

i was talking about signiture tutorials not animation ones?
and to be honest the out come of the animated one isnt what a tutorial usually shows u?
it doesnt take alot to make what he made?

Anyways, those are looking pretty cool, especially only in one week. You'll pass me up pretty soon haha. Oh, yes, and you should either save as .gif or .png. I don't know it's supposed to but it looks kind of pixel-ish in the first few.

1. You spelled signature wrong - don't you have spell check, atleast?
2. There are many, many different types of tutorials on animation...if anything he just learned the basic concepts on animating pics and used his own, or he just didn't upload his original one.
3. So? ONE week. One week, and thats pretty impressive. ATLEAST use some form of constructive criticism, not just criticism.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, Neuro, think about getting some cooler fonts to work with. It makes an image look way cooler, in my opinion.

What the fuck is your problem? It's called criticism, no offense to OP but his tags are very basic and he does need to read more tutorials or take advice.

Also, get to your own section as you don't have any experience with dealing with GFX.

It's not like you gave any more help to OP than he did. Do not save in GIF always save in PNG unless it's animated.

Read some gimp tutorials... Ive made my signature with GIMP because im on laptop and i dont have photoshop on it.
