Help with a good program???

Hello,
I have been learning a bit about C++ programming and I have been asked to design a program for my teacher and I have absolutely no idea where to start.
I was asked to make a program that can read an area of my screen for a certain image( in this case a small arrow which represents the arrow keys on my keyboard) and when for instance an up arrow appears, the program automatically presses that directional button. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if you have any information or questions please post here and ill respond.

I mean what good is it for.

 

Basically he wants to make a simple captcha bypasser. I don't know a whole lot about it, but I think you will have to find the bitmaps. Don't base your research off of me though, wait until Swan or Null post

 

I'm guessing you're programming in Windows and using what compiler? (It's usually good to point those out).

If my assumptions are right then this would be a good start for you to look at simulating mouse clicks.

The other part will considerably harder but I believe it's BitBlt that you will want to look up to start working towards a solution. Once you've started gathering some info post what you've come up with or thought about and we can keep helping.

Im just using a Dev++ because i dont wanna buy the windows visual studio and thats kinda close to what i need but what does he mean above about the bitmaps and that stuff?
