The main reason for this is that they are uneducated.
I live in South Africa, urbanisation of course, where stuff like this doesnt happen lol. Its a surprise to most of the people where i live as well
as some of them are un-aware of the state of other areas in the country/continent.

The pictures you look at of Africa, usually show you agriculture and rural areas, therefore everyone gets this stereotypical image that Africa is one big bush with lions and elephants running around, with people breeding everywhere...

There is poverty in certain areas and different countries, like Zimbabwe, biggest crisis ever. Why because the president hasnt passed year 7 of schooling. Uneducated.

Its quite a joke actually, now the majority of those people living there have to suffer because of these retarded adults.

You cant stop this. It just wont happen... i mean really think about it, you could maybe slow it down or prevent a small margin of poverty, but in no ways would you stop it, ever. This isn't only in Africa, its in other places of the world as well. We just get slammed all the time..

But i mean, ive lived here all my life, 18 years, never seen one person who looks near to what that child looks like, ever. Ive seen skinny people due to eating disorders and stuff, but thats explanitory, not due to starvation.

Well, anyway haha i probably went off topic a bit somewhere.
Africa is not exactly what everyone thinks, its the same as where u live in some areas.

Besides South Africa has some of the hottest girls, and the best beaches ^_^

i actually saw on the colbert report that it's more effective if people invest for infrastructure in Africa, not just give them useless aid that will just run out one day and they will need more. Africa just needs to work on itself.

 

It isn't as if all of Africa is like that -.-
The Africans are currently bucking the global recession and have been experiencing steady growth for the last while.

Tbh, everyone can sit here and cry about it, blaming whoever or whatever countries they can, but it's not as if everyone sits there doing nothing about it?
It's not something that's going to happen overnight, you can't fix a problem that big with a click of your fingers. Africa was over $200 billion in debt (according to 'Africa Action') They've been helped over and over again, but nothing seems to be changing. There always seems to be a new picture of some starving child, worse than the one before. I'm not saying that the problem can fix itself but theres no use in getting so worked up about it.

"In debt" implies that somebody owes something to someone else. If they are "in debt" then those people, starving to death, owe somebody? I don't believe they owe anybody anything, especially since those individuals never agreed to owe in the first place. If you say the government officials who exercise control have barrowed money then you should also consider those officials to owe that money. I find it quite an injustice for one to consider the individuals to owe anything they never agreed to.

You are making a point worthy of comment. You, myself, and many others have seen this idea and wondered "what's the point?" Let me make an analogy that might put things in better perspective. Imagine you believe the law should be obeyed. It will not matter how hard you try to force or convince people to obey the law, there will always be laws broken. The perfect accordance with law cannot happen. However, police don't throw up their arms in a gesture of defeat. Everyone knows that such a thing would result in chaos. Even though perfect obedience to law can never happen we do not theorize that it should not be the goal by those in control. Similarly, the attempt to reduce starvation never will result in zero hunger, but should we throw up our arms to show defeat? I won't.

I'm somewhat confused by your post. You posted a pic implying your agreement with the idea that humans deserve to be treated like you and I (i.e. in equality). However, you posted a laughing symbolism after your photo-post. Might I inquire what exactly is your ideology? Or, at least what exactly is your political ideology?
