Forgotten Vista Administrator Password

First of all fuck off if your just here to get post count.

Alright down to business, my retarted sister forgot her password for her admin account on vista. She is the only admin on the computer...

Now she's being a little bitch and wants to be able to have her admin account back.


Any help?

 

Try restarting your computer, and press F8 or F5 (whichever it may be) to start in safe mode. In doing so, a new user called "Administrator" should show up. If it logs you in, then you should be able to go to the username and change user account types, etc.

If this doesn't work, then I'll start looking around for alternative ways of resetting the password.

 

Download & burn the Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (the trial version is fine for this). Use Locksmith to reset the Administrator password.

Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (DaRT) 6 for Vista

 

SMR's options wold probably be the best.

There's also some password crackers out there, if her password wasn't something hard.
