Help with Steam, please.

Alright, I'm not sure if this is the right section but here it goes:

I installed Empire: Total War on my computer using Steam. The installation went fine but when I tried to launch the game it said "The game unavailible at this time, please try again later." Why did it say this if the game is on a disk and already installed? How to I bypass it? I've installed several other games through Steam and never got this response.

Well, has it been released yet? They usually let you preorder/download it before the actual release date.

 

Empire: Total War was released on March 3rd.

 

Don't worry, just wait a bit sometimes its just a glitch that happens, it happens when steam is doing updates etc.

Restart steam, wait a while... Restart comp... Wait... Try a few times... If it persists reinstall game... If that no work, reinstall steam... It normally just works after a day or two though...

Yeah as SuF said; if that doesn't work it's probably just Steam it should work in a day or two. If the problem still persists, try it on another computer to make sure it's not an error with yours.

 

I thought that it could be a firewall, but i turned it completely off and it still blocks. I'll try your's and SuF's idea/

 

Just turn off steam and leave it off for a night... Try again the next day.
