Eminem Vs. Lil wayne

im not a type of rap music but i need to chose eminem he got some cool songs and funny and i hate the voice of lil' wayne

 

Haha, nice catch. But yeah, Marshall is a lot better than Wayne. Lyrically, yes, vocally, yes also. Ugh, Wayne's voice annoys me so much, he sounds like a 97 year old smoker... with a cigarette in his mouth. Right? It's just sad how he attempts to 'sing' in his songs, but it just comes out like crap. Just face it, you 'Weezy' fans, Eminem, will always be better than Lil Wayne.

 

lol seriously... i still dont understand why people think lil wayne is a great rapper, i want to hear the reasons why hes so great, better than eminem or whatever. if anything, he's ok. hes just a commericial rapper with no lyrics or style of his own, except maybe his voice that doesnt even sound good.

First off, this isn't really a proper comparison, they both rap different "rap genres". A lot of people look as rap as rap, they don't think about all of the different versions.

Eminem was more popular a few years ago, a time when lyrical, hard rap, was more popular. Now days, when club rap, more of a...laid back type of rap that you can sing along to, is popular, this isn't Eminem's style. It is on the other hand, Wayne's style.


If you took Wayne's lyrics and played them to me three years ago, I would have voted Eminem.

But, due to what is popular at the moment, currently, I voted for Wayne.

Well, i really don't care if Wayne is popular. Eminem kicks his ass.

You could determine which one is better if they battled, in which case Wayne should just forfeit. You could also get them to make a song each and see which one gets the most plays or downloads, in which case, Eminem would most likely double Lil Wayne's plays.

In my mind, to truly see which one is the better lyricist, they should battle. Someones skill can't be shown by a play count, this was proven with the song "Paper Planes" by M.I.A ft T.I.

Style aside, Eminem dominates the general view of 'Rap'.

 

what you consider popular at the moment and the style of rap is mainstream garbage... if eminem wants to brag about his money, girls, VIP status, he'll come up with better lyrics himself than the lyrics lil wayne buys off of other writers.

eminem refused to do any songs with lil wayne...

but like i mentioned, they both got albums coming out so we'll see who's actually more "popular" at moment.

Eminem back in the 90's was badass, wayne I dont like because he cant rap.

However, that being said, I would also like to point out to all the people who said they liked ems song "crack a bottle" dont know jack bout slim.
He sold out BIG time, thus putting him on the same level as Wayne but able to rap. I can never take him seriously ever again

 

Eminem sold out years ago when instead of focusing on rap, he was more about politics.

Lil Wayne of course... Eminem raps about the dumbest ass shit. Look at the song "Just Lose it". He sounds like a fucking retard. And all of his other songs.

i voted for Lil wayne. ive been a follower of weezy since before everyone was talking about him, since before he even released the drought, when all his songs were underground shit. Lil wayne NEVER writes down anything for his songs, its all off the dome, but the story/meatphors hes trying to portray are all correct, and flow well together. Can eminem shred on the guitar like wayne can? no. Wayne is multicultural, he sings Rap, Reggae, and now Rock. Eminem has to sit down with a pen and pad for a few hours to make up something as good or better than lil waynes, when wayne does it in seconds. Take a look at Em's new song, "we made you" and watch the video...i think he really has gone crazy. Hes at the end of his era and just trying to stay afloat. As to the person who was talking about wayne using voice mods, a couple of his songs do, mostly his chopped and screwed songs, and the new release songs off of his rock cd, entitled: "prom Queen" and "hot Revolver". i beg to differ all you lil wayne haters, just listen to these songs, listen to the deepness of the lyrics. everything lil wayne spits about is real, he fucks with guns, he fucks with drugs, its not a bunch of fake babble like a lot of artists out there just trying to get paid.

how do you know he "NEVER" write down his shit and comes with it off the top of his head... maybe have lil wayne vs eminem in a free style battle and maybe youll see eminem doesnt sit down to write down his shit before he starts spitting. at least he comes up with his own shit and proved it in battles?

go to youtube, or hulu, or any video site and watch lil wayne recording. hes not looking at a pad, hes just spitting. there are plenty of rappers that have vouched for lil wayne saying his shit IS off the dome. lol and you say wayne doesnt come up with his own shit? all of his lyrics are his, he doesnt jack lines from other artists, they're all original.

and alot of rappers dont do drugs or gangbang lol. they just get on the mic and talk hard. lil waynes got the arrest record to prove it all.
