buy a house, a car, fix up the house (im talking a cheap house, something live-able) and im set for the rest of my life pretty much.

 

I'd keep it... I don't see why I should give it away. Although I would still help people out and buy them nice presents and what not, so I'm not all bad.

Car, stable house in the city. That would run me about 300k then i'd probably start a business, write a book and bank remaining hoping to cash out.

I would naturally still work, but I will be financially secure forever if I invest accordingly.

Eh, 1mil isn't enough but I guess i'd still give some away, because you know what they say, money is like manure, you don't spread it around, it starts to stink up the place. I'd give around 200,000-250,000 to the surf rider foundation.

Smartest post yet. Move there, invest the $1,000,000 in growing marijuana for "medicinal purposes" and make mad money from there while in turn helping the sick so no need to donate money and just live life on the high road.

i donate to a few charities every year already, not a lot. Maybe ill donate a lil more from the investments

someone said you can't live off 1 mil a year for the rest of your life.. you can if you know how to invest and spend your money wisely.


people who would buy an expensive house 500k+ and a nice car 80K+ and blow the rest of the money, by buying whatever, giving/donating it away.... hopefully you'll have a good job to pay insurance, property tax and so forth, especially if you live in the US. this is why 90% of lottery winners go bankrupt...
