Moon Landing A Hoax?

and anyways, i mean i wouldn't think its fake. who the hell would fake a moon landing..?

 

A nation in the middle of a losing cold war that needed something to one-up the opposing side.

Exactly. We were down in the cold war. Russians threatened to use space as a means of transportation and warfare, and we had to beat em to it. Of course they beat us into space in general, but we supposedly took over the only solid piece of land capable of hosting military equipment. If we just made them think we already went, they wouldnt bother. Because afterall, who actually cares about 2nd place?

 

You honestly think that we staged the moon landing all in hopes of winning the space race and planting military equipment on the moon? That's your basis for this supposed conspiracy? I'm sorry, but we never needed to win the space race in order to have any direct positive correlation to the cold war. Also, they wouldn't just "forget about it" if they had already invested that much money all because we claimed we landed with a piece of video evidence.

 

The U.S.A was tied up in Vietnam that time, they couldn't afford to pump hundreds of millions into an experimental moon landing. Therefore it is sensible for them to fake one which is much much cheaper and less worrying. Imagine the moral of the people of the U.S.A if the mission failed and at the same time the war in Vietnam was failing.

Ok, I'll admit that those videos have some great evidence, but I have one story that confronts it. Apollo 13- If it was going to be fake, whyd they turn it into the crew almost dieing? And don't say planned, no way it was.

 

If you watch the videos posted a page or two ago, you will see that mythbusters had declined most of the possibilities in the theorists ideas of a staged moon landing. It could have been planed to impede actual reality, but I doubt that it was a hoax.

 

I know, I don't believe it was a hoax, just pointing out Apollo 13 to Hoax believers.

 

The evidence shows some proof but I don't understand why they would do such a thing?

 

I'm not arguing either way, but the government could save millions of dollars and tons of time by simply faking it so they could concentrate on other things. They would also rouse the nationalist spirit of the population, increasing moral.

 

Yeah but you would think someone or something important would see that the U.S just suddenly come up with a billion dollars from an undisclosed source? And wheres the moral for the blown-up ones ?

 

yes. morale. the russians seemed to be beating us at everything. first satellite, first man in space, tons of nukes, threat of world domination. we had to one up them somehow. perfect cost efficient way of doing it. thanks dropkick for pointing that out.

every story has to introduce human error. without it, we would all seem like superheroes that could never mess up. it makes the story thousands of times more believeable. if they were to say "hi these are called astronauts, boom now they're on the moon" the public would be like "pssh yea right, how the hell could they figure all that out." the government had to make it believeable with trial and error hoaxes before the actual hoax.

are we to believe that only months after blowing most ships up on the launch pad 30 feet off the ground that we can somehow miraculously travel 384,403 kilometers months later... how could we get everything right all of a sudden?

you see, those are the downers. there is no morale boost for them. they just make the story very humanlike with human error introduced.

 

people are stupid enough to think it was a hoax? wow... i can only imagine how bad the schools are these morons dropped out of.
