Guide to improving your eyesight/vison by Diax

In this guide, I will show you some tips and exercises to improve Eyesight. It will cover some basic methods and tips to reduce strains etc.

    Table of content
    1) First off, what makes up the eye?
    2) Nearsightedness
    3) Farsightedness
    4) Tips
    5) Lets start!
    6) More tips
    7) Conclusion

First off, what makes up the eye?
The eye is made up of 5 parts.
Cornea - The cornea is the clear covering of the eye. If the cornea is stuffed up, mis-shaped or in bad shape, it can cause vision trouble.
Iris - The Iris is the colored openning in the eye. What the iris does is, to open or close to adjust the amount of light that enters the eye.
Retina - The Retina is the projection screen at the back of the eye. If you see an image and it gets focused here, your eyesight/vison is awsome.
Optic Nerve - Ah, this is the optic Nerve, its job is to carry the signal from the retina to your brain
Lens - The lens is a converging lens so that it can create a real image on the back wall of the eye. In the midle, the lens is actually soft (similar to a bag of water). There are muscles around it and this allows it to adjust its shape and focus. This allows us to focus on something close to us and far away.

    Nearsightedness
Nearsightedness is caused by the lens in the eye is to strong, the eye is too long or the cornea is too thick. So it will cause the real image to get formed in front of the retina. Resulting the image will be blurred. Nearsightedness just really means you can't see things from a distance.

    Farsightedness
Farsightedness is caused by the lens in the eye is to weak, the eye is too short or the cornea is to thin which will cause the real image to get formed in beyond the retina (basically the opposite to nearsightedness). Farsightedness just really means you can't see things close up.

    Tips
Ok, some simple tips before trying these exercises.

    1) Relax as much as possible, try to not tense your muscles at all.

    2) if you are up to around -1.5 or +1.5, HARDLY wear your glasses. Only wear if you are in class copying down from the board etc.

    3) If you drink alcohol or smoke, I suggest that you try to reduce this problem when you are doing these exercises. Also, drinking and smoking effects your eyes big time.

    4) Take your glasses off when doing these exercises, makes you feel more relaxed

    Lets start!
Step 1) Don't move your head at all. Look up as hard as you can, then do the same thing but looking downwards. Up and down eight times.

Step 2) This is exactly like the first one, except for looking up and down. This is left and right. Don't move your head, and look left and right as hard as you can. Look left eight times and right eight times.

Step 3) Look left, then up, then right and then down as hard as you can. Oh and don't more your head. Do this four times.

Step 4) Do a circle with your eyes, try not to cut corners. Do this about 8-10 times one way and then 8-10 times the other way.

Step 5) Do exactly the same thing as step 4 BUT with eyes closed. Kind of hard the first time.

Step 6) Look north-west, then south west, then south east and north east as hard as you can, do this cycle 4 times. (Top right, Bottom left, bottm right, Top right)

Step 7) This method is called "palming". Rub your hands together for about 10-15 seconds. Then put them in a cross, one on another, and put them on your face. Your eyes must rest right in the middle of your palms, but not touch them. Also there should be no light coming through, make sure of this. Relax, think of the most peaceful place on earth. Do this for about 10 minutes.

Step 8) This method is called "sunning". ONLY DO THIS IN THE MORNING OR THE EVENING WHEN THE SUN SETS. NEVER DO THIS DURING THE DAY. So, close your eyes and look at the sun. Turn your head left and right, breathe in and breathe out slowly. After, do the palming method for about two minutes.

    More tips
    1) Don't use the computer for a long amount of time. Look away from the screen after 20 minutes or so. To much sythe can cause nearsightedness big time.

    2) Don't read in the dark =.=.

    3) Don't watch the tv from a close distance.

    4) When reading, don't read from too close, and take a break every now and then.

    5) Eat alot of vitamin A food, like carrots, tomato etc.

    6) Stay away from junk food. Chips, pizza, kfc, etc.

    7) Stay away from smoking, drugs, drinking.

    8) Drink lots of water.

    9) Try not to create a strain in your eye, usually caused by the computer.

    10) Try to keep dirt, chemicals, funny liquid etc, from entering your eyes.

    11) Don't wear your glasses all the time. Only wear them when nessersary. EG: Watching tv, Copying from the board. No need to wear them when using the computer at around 1.5 and less.

    12) Be patient, don't expect after one day of exercises, your eyesight is fully restored to 20/20 vision.

    Conclusion
That about sums it up for my guide. If you follow these tips and methods, you will see an improvement in your eyesight/vison in no time.
    Comment, suggestions, tips.

Okay guide, but I'm not sure if this actually works.
    Good organization, 7/10.
Try not to repeat the phrase "big time" over and over again. Once is annoying, several times is unbearable.

It makes sense i'v thought about this before, i personally dont have any eye problems and never have, but i thought if looking at a close thing for a long time makes your eyes ajust to looking at it, can you just look at somthing far away for a long time lol and it will fix it
