Expanding the forum - Consoles Section

I think it would be a great way to expand the forum and give users a way to find out who plays what, share friend codes/gamer tags, discuss new releases/etc.

I obviously support.

 

I'd say no unless you plan on removing one of the less useful sections like the Sythe MMORPG section or merging the SCAR and RSBOT sections.

 

this site is obv not about consoles...so why bother?

I discussed it with Matthew and then brought it to Sythe himself. He wanted input from the community.

Its about gaming. Why not have a console section?

Although, can't it just be "Xbox" and "PlayStation" instead of only version 3 of PlayStation and Xbox360?

 

The site isn't solely about Runescape or World of Warcraft either, by that logic why don't we remove those sections?

 

Still has a focus on PC gaming.

 

Tends to get annoying seeing my scroll bar getting smaller and smaller on this site. Then I have to scroll and scroll just to find what I'm looking for. Even so other games isn't even that big of a section and that is where people post their console games stuff. You are just going to split 500 threads into 100 with little posts, and make me scroll more.

Yes please I support but please then move Other sales where people sell alot of xbox stuff

 

Please also include a Nintendo DS/DSi section.

The only problem with adding ALL console sections is that new people will post ROMs and other emulators on there. That would probably flood the section. However, i can see XboxLive sections for gamertags/membership. Nothing else tho.

 

If this goes through, it needs:

PS3
360
Wii
PSP
DS

and probably a 'Legends'-type consoles section like GameSpot has for outdated consoles (NES, Nintendo 64, PS1, etc)

I've wanted this for a long time...

 

There's more to take into consideration besides Global moderator's, and Admins.. Who will be the regular Moderators for this section?

 

Okay if this happens, just put it as a subsection under "others" and instead of making a separate section for each console do it by company name "Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo", when someone makes a thread in there title they just specify what type of console/handled it is "[psp] [wii] [ps3] [gba]" etc etc

doing this will cause less threads created and a less cluttered forums.
