Explanation of the trade: BTC for Account (PAYMENT PLAN)

How they scammedoat sold me an account on a payment plan. I had paid $720 and had said i would pay the remaining in a month. 6 weeks later, and only 3 days of playing on the account i decided it wasn't the best move for me to pay the remainder and ask for a refund. He had stated that he would give back up to 60%. However he has only give me $130 back stating that he said 60% of the account value. He never once mentioned that he would refund 60% of the value of the account.
I have no problem in him taking 40% of $730 however refunding me with only $130 is taking the mickey and is un-ethical.
I feel that POAT is trying to manoeuvre around his words now in order to think he is right so he can financially benefit more than he already is from this trade.

I made a deal with 'Poat' from sythe to buy an account on a payment plan. I Paid 50%. I had asked him if he refunded, how much he would refund He replied back with Depending on what happened to the account without any massive changes 60% Therefore i asked for a refund on the 50% i paid. However he is saying now that you will only get 10% back of the account value. I paid 720$. The account is 1500 He had only refunded me 130

If i knew he was only goind to refund me 130$. was it not better for me to pay the remaining 750$ and decide to sell the account myself later. even then i wouldnt make a 600$ loss reselling.

Technically, the account isn't yours up until the last installment, so you can't sell him back something that you don't own, but yes, 60% of what you paid seems intuitive to me.

How can i buy the account off him just to re sell or keep and later he recovers the account back or something. If he is doing this over $300. He would have definitely recover the account at a later time just to sell for $1500 or more again.

 

I posted a complete video of our chat logs in a deleted post above.

To start of, @TropicaiPB contacted me on discord to purchase the account for an agreed upon value of $1,500. In 2 payments, $750 upfront and $750 in 1 months time.

Everything was fine until I contacted him for the second payment of the account. At which point he asked me for a 1 week grace period as 1 month had flown by and he needed an extra week to make the payment.

About 8-9 days after he first asked for the extension he then (before finishing payment) asked me "In the future would you buy the account back" which is when I replied "and I can either buy it back for a % or offer to try and resell it for you then give you what I get for a small fee". Which was followed by "How much % would u buy it back for" and I replied "Depending on what happened to the account without any massive changes 60%".

This 60% value was the value I would buy the account back for not "refund" at no point did I ever mention a refund.

after another 8 days of messaging him to try and collect the second payment, he then hit me with the "I don't want the account anymore can I get my money back"

Now where we are at is trying to say that the 60% that I offered to buy back the account for was in his eyes was seen as he wants 60% back of his initial 50% down payment for the account, instead of the 10% back I gave him making us even at 60% owed on the account and 40% in my hands.

I also gave him the option after refunding the $130 that he could pay the remaining $900 balance (60%) and attempt to resell the account himself if he wishes.
