The JaGeX Cup + new f2p skill, new systems... o.O

This is copied from the clan chat of Mod MMG(I believe hes the only j mod with a clan chat) When he was asked by a series of question by a MSW staff.

Its pretty interesting... I was there during the latter parts of the convo, for the people how don't like reading... The mod basically said that there will be a new naming system, new black marks system,F2P members will soon be able to use the Runescape forums, new F2P and P2P skill(at some point lol, very high chance before 2010), BH is also briefly mentioned. If you want to look at a specific point you'll have to dig in the convo to look for it.^_^





There is also going to be a JaGex Cup

The JaGex cup will start in a little under two weeks after registration, seems like fun...there is going to be a skilling cup and a combat cup that can be won. I was going to join but Im not in a clan and you need to be in a clan >.>.

Hm, the mods seem to be getting much more personable, almost like back in the days of classic.

 

Do you know what the Jagex Cup is? Is it like a virtual prize that clans can uphold? lol, just confused ... is there like some sort of reward for winning?

 

Its some sort of prize you win when your clan wins some sort of compition against every other clan in Runescape:noworry: XD there is a reward when you win though but Im pretty sure its more than something you can upload lol

It just emphasises what an idiot this guy is. He hasn't actually done anything. Remember Jagex said that they plan updates up to a year before they are released. This guy could just be reaping the rewards from players when these updates were someone else's ideas.

I am surprised how many people think he is so great, when actually, he's probably just ticking the boxes from check-lists that were thought of from before. Eg. Mod Raven mentioned the new blackmark system back in October 08 before the new CEO came into power. Wasn't Iddison in charge when the Account Review started? There is no way that Mod Raven would have got permission to make that thread without approval from a "higher authority" so to speak.

Wow f2p on forums? That is fucking gay. I remember when I only got members to duel in the duel arena and then they make it f2p, now this? Fuck them if they do that.

It can't be sailing because f2p users have a very limited sailing space...

I am looking forward to this year of 2009, jagex is finally listening to its players.

 

He said theres going to be a f2p and possibly a p2p skill as well so sailing isnt out yet. But I wonder what the f2p one can be.

Your very cynical. How can you claim that these update undermines everything? Jagex have released Castle Wars, God wars, Corporeal_beast? And yet you complain that dual arena went F2P when the arena itself is pretty much redundant anyway.

 

Thats fucking bullshit... i completely agree about that.
There pushing this way to far and by the time there finished they'll be more f2p then their are p2p players and possibly even no players.

Tbh this is just another shit update that they hope will draw in more players but i can guarantee if they keep going down this road they'll lose more money then they did when the trade limits weren't there.

 

valuable infromation , I know they mention A new skill , But for F2p? I remember them saying they were not going to ever make major upgraded to F2p like this.
