The Top three ways you get hacked and how to avoid them.

Well let me introduce myself, My name is r4mb0 r4ng3, MLG Unix, XBL Stealth.
Let's kill some common myths before we start this guide.
Using "Netstat" On CMD has about a 30% chance of actually geting the true IP adress. "Traceroute" Is also a peice of garbage unless you know what it's actually used for. Good hackers don't use CMD to hack you. Stop thinking thats how.

So, Let's get going.




Number 1 - Packet Switching. You are all at danger of packet switching. You may ask "How Unix! How?" Well, When you stream music,videos, ANYTHING. You are at risk.
While you are streaming that is a constant flow of packets and anyone can see those packets with the right tools and also edit them.

This meaning, They can put a keylogger in one of those packets and you download it without knowning it. Because that's what you do when you go to a webpage

or anything. You Download that infromation. This is also why you should never ever ever go to a private server page or anything like that.

They can put virus's to download when you enter or their website.

BE SCARED. This is what packet's look like to a hacker. Well at least to me.

I can edit those, exc. You may ask, How would they get on my network.

I'm a MILLON miles away! Well you downloaded a bot or a virus when you entered their website.

This opens your network to them. That also works in the way keylogging does, but we'll get to that later.

How to stop this you may ask? Well The downloading from their website you just need good AV - Anti Virus software. I recommend MacAfee.

If they are sitting next to you in a cafee well.. You're all connected to the same network if you are in a cafee with them and that means he/she can see EVERYTHING he want's to see.

Also using programs like TeamViewer can put you at a HUGE risk.



Number 2 - Keylogging

Keylogging is quite simple to avoid, You avoid it by not downloading dodgey material off the internet. For someone to keylog you, you have to download a bot of

some sort and activate it by well.. Clicking on it. Sometimes people will desguise these keyloggers and common software. For instance "Free Adobe photoshop

download with keygen/Crack". Total bs. They can put the adobe icon on the bot itself. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference because they could also name

it, "Adobe photoshop installer". Well if you know you have activated a bot on your computer. If it's a good bot I can't tell you because it would take way too much

explaining and I'm sorry. But if you have then you can try this. Go to task manager then under processes find it, the description will be named "stub". Look for it.






The way keylogging works is, You the user have now downloaded and activated the bot. This isn't the keylogger itself. activating the bot opens your computer up

to the hacker including your network. Allowing him to manipulate data. he can also control your computer. When you activate it, his software he is using will most

likely aleart him that a bot has been activated. He now has the choice to cut you off and just leave you alone or he can turn on a keylogger and bam he now tracks and records all your keystrokes.





Number 3 - Social engineering. This isn't a common way for peoples runescape accounts geting hacked. More or less xbox live accounts. The way it works is they

get your IP adress using a sniffer. they can get it through xbox live, MSN, AIM or any other instant messanger also. The IP adress's he would get would look a bit

like this. I have blanked out the ones I am picking up atm. He can also get your mac adress and anyone can do this because the software for this is free. I will NOT tell you the name or how to get it.





With your IP he traces it using most likely a very accurate tracer. Probabbly DNSstuff.com Googles tracer.. or something like Solarwinds DNS/Whois. With that he

gets your house adress. With that he goes to whitepages.com and looks up your info from that house adress. He gets your phone number, name, street adress. This

of course is a stupid and silly way that wannabe hackers well.. Hack your accounts. Simpley put garbage infromation when making a account on MSN, Xbox live. Exc... LIE YOUR ASS OFF.

I'm really skeptical about you making this guide, as I'm not accusing you of leeching but, if you notice in the 3 pictures, there using different vista themes. The first 2 are the same, but if you noticed the 3rd is different. (look at the top bar, including the exit, minimize, and restore buttons..)

Now, if you noticed the part that is bolded and underlined. It says 'How Unix! How?' Well, I checked your name isn't Unix... So, who is it? The real maker of this tutorial?

 

Heres the thing, all of the pictures have the same thing open, the same little programs on the taskbar, and similar times.

Sorry, but you are an idiot. Why are you posting this guide under another account, anyways? (The Friendly "Hacker")

Everything in this "guide" is false.

"Packet Switching"? No such thing.

You cannot put a "virus on a packet".

You are not a hacker.

Wireshark only shows traffic through packets going in and out of your network, nothing more, nothing less. It's not a harmful tool, it cannot cause damage. (Assuming you aren't sniffing traffic, which I am 100% sure the "guide" writer knows nothing about.)

When you visit a site, packets are sent and received. Packets are not harmful, and there is no way to avoid this. Your network is not "opened" up to this. Also, keylogging is completely unrelated, I do not know why you decided to include that.

You are an idiot, teamviewer always puts you at a risk. Using anything puts you at some sort of risk.

ALSO, the fact that you recommend McAfee confirms your idiocy.

Not all keyloggers have their description as "stub." Stub is the file found after crypting it, that's all.

Social engineering? Social engineering is nothing like what you mentioned. Social engineering is a type of phishing; exploiting not the system, rather the idiocy of the user to get what you want. Social engineering has nothing to do with sniffing or IP addresses.

MAC addresses are not harmful, nor can any one do anything with them. MAC addresses are just identifiers for the physical hardware used to connect to a network.

IP addresses do not hold any precise geographical information... They are typically useless when trying to track someone down...

Also, the last screenshot of the program you're using is CAIN. It's nothing harmful, it's just a collection of utilities put together in a single program. Do not think you're a hacker just because you've heard of it and have a copy.

Let's say xbox live and giving them infromation about the user in order to recover their account. In order to do this, you would most likely have to trace their IP to get infromation on them.
