Jailbreaking your Ipod touch basically means your giving yourself access to many paid for applications, ilegal applications, turned down games or potentially new apps for your Ipod. How to Jailbreak your Ipod

The best Jailbreak application currently would be quickpwn which can be found @ http://www.quickpwn.com/ Currently there arn't many working 2nd gen Jailbreak applications. Firstly you need to find your Firmware, If you've done all the Ipod Updates up to today yours is 2.2.1 but if you haven't It's likely 2.2.

Download the Ipod Jailbreak Firmware 2.2.1 - Once downloaded extract and run Jailbreak - With the Pinapple Logo.



Make sure your Ipod is connected via the USP cable before you open the program.[/COLOR]

Next locate your firmware file, which should be 2.2.1



Once your restoring your Firmware with the firmware 2.2.1 this process will take around 5minutes. Next stage it will ask you to locate both Bootloader files that came with the Quickpwn folder which can be found together. Locate and browse for them. Once found both click okay. If a green arrow appears on the Ipod the correct files we're located.

Next click Add Cydia - Cydia is basically the Jailbreak application which from Wi-fi gives your access to thousands of new features. Also add the Installer, this is for free games.

Your Ipod will go into recovery mode once complete for around 5minutes, Leave and don't unplug from the usb!

Leave your Ipod to jailbreak and wait around 5-10minutes.

Don't ever do a Ipod Update from Itunes again, This will scan for ilegal applications and If caught your Ipod will be froze.
Don't let them scan your Itunes also, You can sync stuff but don't update
