PvP 26k trick guide! (post update)

Hi and welcome to my 26k pvp trick guide.

Many people have heard of the pvp trick, but not many know how to do it properly. There are 5 main things that affect your drops

    1. Your amount risked

You must be risking over 75k to get a good drop. To view your risked wealth, go to the equip screen and click in the lower left where the skull on the shield is. The amount risked will be in the lower right of the window.

    Recommendations:
I recommend risking an item worth just above 75k, and carrying 3 items worth over that. And example is a whip, a d skirt, a mystic robe top, and a berserker helm. The berserker helm will be risked and you will be risking about 77k. If another player attacks you you can just put protect item on.

    2. Your opponents amount risked

Your opponent (the person you are killing) must be risking over 25k in wealth. The reason that it is called the 26k trick is that many people prefer to use 26k cash as there is no chance of risking less than 25k.

    3. Your Combat Level

The higher your combat, the better drops you will get. It is recommended to have 80+ combat for good drops.

    4.Your drop potential

This is perhaps the most important factor affecting your drops. Drop potential is the amount of time you have spent outside a safe zone on pvp worlds. Every full minute you spend outside a safezone is added to your "total". for every half hour spent outside a safezone you gain drop potential. If you spend your time in a hotzone. (a busy area such as falador or varrock) your drop potential increases exponentially fasterThe higher your drop potential, the better the drops you will get. 1 hour or more of drop potential in a hotzone is recommended.

    Methods for gaining drop potential

    Camping
In this method you sit in a hotzone area where you're unlikely to be attacked and let your potential increase. Some of the best places for this include:

    1. Troll Stronghold
My personal favorite. For some reason Jagex has made the Troll Stronghold a hotzone. Several areas throughout the stronghold are hotzones, all you have to do is find one that suits you.

    2. Upstairs in houses in Ardouge, Falador, Varrock, etc...
Staying upstairs in a house used to be a good method, now I never use it, as you'll find yourself being attacked by a mage within 15 minutes of starting to camp. If you are going to use this method, use a house teleport. As soon as you see the mage, TELE!!!

    3.Monkey Cage in Ardougne Zoo
I've only tried this method a few times. It requires obtaining the monkey greegree in monkey madness. Then head to Ardougne Zoo. Fin the monkey cage, transform into a monkey, and talk to the monkey minder. He will put you inside the monkey cage. If you are using a karamjan monkey greegree then you will blend in with the rest of the monkeys in the cage. Beware of rangers, as they like to range you through the fence. Teleport recommended.

    Attacking a Friend
Attacking a friend is a great method of raising drop potential, as you cannot be attacked by other players. I've also found this method to give better drops then camping. Take a weak weapon such as a bronze dagger, make sure you're risking more than 75k, and head to Ardounge, at the prayer alter. You can bring Saradomin Brews to lower your stats and raise your defense and hitpoints if you want. Put on a corresponding protection prayer, steel skin, and rapid heal, and continue attacking until you're ready to kill.

    5.Person you kill

With the new update it seems that the person you gain potential with cannot be the person you kill. If you go to world 26 in south ardounge bank you should find a partner for pvp fairly quickly.

Edit: I don't recommend doing this F2p, but if you do then risk 25k instead of 75k.

    Thank You, Shuturpyhole

by the way, you may want to post.. if you ever want a partner to kill... go to "item farming" clan chat, and you can find an attacker or just someone to kill quite easily :)
